This is the third time Slovenia advances to a European final(2004 hanball and 2 years ago volleyball) and i hope will be the lucky one. Congrats Slo! If Serbia wins tomorrow,it would be the first ex-Yu basketball final.

Is it time for a dark horse to win the title? Cro-Slo-Lat?I hope yes!Especialy for Slo,since 2007,when after my celebrations i felt extremely sorry for them.

For me,the best tournament system is what Len had used for some years,at Water Polo European Championships. 12 teams,2 groups of 6,the first of each group qualifies for the semifinal,while second and third teams play an additional "quarterfinal" match" You would argue that 12 teams for volleyball are few,but it could be counterweighed by strong qualification round,like: -Every team except the host participates,no automatic qualifications to tournament based on perfomance at previous tournaments -First and second round for "weak teams".Home and away matches. -Third round 24 teams-,winners of second round and "strong" teams,6 groups of 4, 1 host team per group.single matches(3 per team).First two qualify for the tournament.

Needless to say that YUG didn't exactly sucked,but Serbia is a constant title contender for 20+ years,so the difference is striking.

I've just noticed that volleyball is the only sport that Serbia is stronger comparing to YUG' s era.

I have a feeling that one of the teams that haven't won a title yet*,will win this tournament .Anyone else? *I consider Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia as two different countries

Yeah,i hate when teams on the same group have to play again so early It seems Slovenia was not an 'one hit wonder',like 2007's Spain(and Finland,same year)
