  1. Sort of...this Denard dude is on the coup-side for two decades, guy just hates whoever is in charge.
  2. Since declaring independence, the country has experienced more than 20 coups d'état or attempted coups, with various heads of state assassinated*. Along with this constant political instability, the population of the Comoros lives with the worst income inequality of any nation, with a Gini coefficient over 60%, while also ranking in the worst quartile on the Human Development Index. *that might not be a record, but it surely must come close --- And on a positive note: The Comoros is the world's largest producer of ylang-ylang, a plant whose extracted essential oil is used in the perfume industry; some 80% of the world's supply comes from the Comoros. --- There you go. Comoros, for all your daily ylang-ylang needs.
  3. I don't think my dad spent half a year in Kosovo for fun in 1999/2000 And the likes of Iraq, Afghanistan and Mali where they are now are not exactly holiday destinations neither.
  4. If you go to 'Unread topics' you can select only those forums you're interested in and not see unread topics for the other forums.
  5. Considering his, let's say, physical appearance, that is rather worrying.. "I shook hands with everybody" might turn out to be a memorable phrase..
  6. Seeing all those pictures from everywhere, I'm damn glad there is no talk at all about military going on the streets here. That's the point where one would seriously wonder if things aren't going too far.
  7. I can understand it as a website logo, but in UI's or GIF's? Anyway, thanks.
  8. Wait what, using the Olympic flag as user icon on a forum is illegal? Look, this must be breaking the law too then
  9. I like Bonfire because that's a cool name, but doubt I'll watch it
  10. These Pieter van den Hoogenband and Inge de Bruijn could put up a good show here, I feel.
  11. Thanks to Totallympics I'm associating this 99% with @MHSN and barely 1% with Sydney 2000
  12. It's not very interesting I'll refer to this article I wrote about it because there's nothing else to write about (the video is in it of course) https://frontpage.fok.nl/nieuws/831472/1/1/50/tadzjiekse-super-cup-ondanks-stroeve-start-weer-gewonnen-door-istiklol.html
  13. Yes, I watched the highlights of the Tajik Super Cup a few days ago. That was a first.
  14. The question is how correct it is, but worldometers added the number of tests recently. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
  15. Experts have been saying distancing from each other is the number one precaution for quite a while now, masks - especially those homemade things - are nothing more than a relatively small addition to that, but definitely not a replacement.
  16. This really is a pretty good example of how everyone is doing their own thing basically. I mean, Slovakia has some of the tighest precautions everywhere, but the number one thing isn't being followed by the leaders. Whereas other countries do follow that, but don't have other precautions. Interesting to look at, in some way.
  17. I might move to east of the Oder then Let's Google where exactly the Oder is again.
  18. The Pacific Games should be reserved for entities in the Pacific, at least in my opinion.
  19. To be fair, one of the main fun things about these events is to see 'nations' (or entities, whatever you want to call it) compete which you normally don't see in the big world championships and Olympics.
  20. I think I'm going for the Rio 50km racewalk, that was fantastic
  21. Yeah this is a big fear among experts: the tighter the precautions are in a country, the bigger the risk could be for a strong second wave once it starts being lifted..
  22. Reminds me of Venice where all of a sudden the whole thing looks way healthier than it does with a gazillion tourists strolling around everywhere. Nature is loving this Have you looked up to the sky (on a non-cloudy day) these days yet? Instead of dozens and dozens of those trails from planes, there's blue sky without a single non-cloud thing blocking it
