Exactly. Take 300 events and country X has 10% chance to win a medal every single time. In Gracenote's system they'll end up with 0 medals, because most likely in every event there are countries with a higher chance. But 300 times 10% chance isn't gonna result in 0 medals

Sure, but there's a bit of a difference between living language or coming up with changes every single time it bothers someone (no, I'm not talking about situations where it bothers a lot of people). Plenty of things bother me, but please don't go and change words because of it.
