  1. My congratulations!!! It was something to remember for a long time!
  2. I would say both at the same level. But I suppose we will focus on WW only in the nearest future ((
  3. No freestyle quotas for Zero. For the first time ever. And if we obvoously miseed 2 WW quotas, our freestyle is in deep crisis for a long time. Last Olympic medal was gotten in London 2012. We finished with 2 WW and 2 GR quotas - the worst result in history. But the next cycle will be even more difficult for the men`s side as a result of the war.
  4. Chiamizo should be at the Games. No question. But in my oppionion it should be solved right afrer the tournament in Baku.
  5. Its a way UWW deals with it - fix one injustice creating another one
  6. We will do it anyway - Sidakov is a clear candidate to be scratched from the Olympics.
  7. But they were excluded! Ukraine forced such big names as Sadulaev and Evloev to be excluded. Russians will not boycott wrestling themselves, but our pressure "helped" to exclude a lot of them including the combar sports. I would not hope in Chiamizo`s case for UWW fair decision. It can be done via the IOC only. And the process will proceed next weeks - after the FOQ in Turkey UWW will send the quotas to the IOC. And the campaign should go before the decision of the IOC is revealed. Otherwise it would be hrad to change it. I do not see any reason why the Italian sports community has to give up. UWW ruled out that was a "mistake" bud did nothing to fix it.
  8. By the way Chiamizo has chances to get quota too. At the WCH`23 Sidakov was in TOP-5 and Bayramov was 6th. Thus if Sidakov will be excluded (for taking part in that famous pro-war meeting) - Bayramov will get WCH quota and Chiamizo - EQ quota. The best possible solution for UWW )
  9. I am glad that we did not win ) That is not the case to get the victory Ukraine has the second highest avreage position (after Italy). So we are often somewhere near the top but not at the very top.
  10. The winner got some votes in Ukraine with this cover
  11. That`s too dangerous. Crimea
  12. We have very strong traditions in western Ukraine (Lviv especially, where Maria Stadnik from). Its notable that Ukrainian is the first ever Olympic champion in Women Wrestling.
  13. I will bring more details later, next week. But Khoroshavtseva used occupied Ukrainian territories to have training camp alongside with some other female wrestlers.
  14. Yes, he is from Khmelnytsky region
  15. You missed Stadnik - he was picked up by Romania recently.
  16. AIN quotas are not approved. A lot of russian "quota winners" did the same actions which led ICF to disqualification of Pavlov in Canoe. UWW is loyal to russians and ignored that facts, of course. But the final decision is up to the IOC. What is more important - Akobia for now is the only Ukrainian athlete which may get quota after possible AIN`s quotas reallocation. In all the other case diffrent countries will benefir from this. Some cases are absolutely clear, some 50/50. I would not say that the chance of Akobia is the best one, but...
  17. My congratulations to Russo saved your day but nobody saved our one. Our coach was to emotional, but Ukrainian wrestling community sees that 3rd coution fully correct. He should react earlier - co cautions #1 and #2 - to prevent what had happen later. Akobia lost this Olympic quota 3 times at the last moment. That is not a coincidence, it is her problem. But she still has a chance to get quota, I hope
  18. Тепер для Акобії єдиний варіант - недопуск Хорошавцевої.
  19. Yes. Russo had a hairdress which provoked that cautions.
  20. The 3rd caution was obvious but the previous 2... The hairdress of Russo helped her to win.
  21. Cuba is a liitle bit different case in my oppinion. I do not see problem with Cuban athletes. We have slightly different situation. There are many diasporas from the Caucasus in Ukraine, so we did not need to find mercenaries. These diasporas keep their traditions and culture but they are deeply integrated into the life of Ukraine, speak Ukrainian. For example, Nasibov was born in Azerbaujan, but came to Ukraine (Mykolaiv) in the age of 6. Zantaraia (judoka) born in Georgia but came to Ukraine because of the war in Georgia. Now he is a politician. Belenuk is another case - he was born in Kyiv. ------- * In my oppinion, the other reason of our problems (and problems of many other countries) is the policy of the IOC. They are reducing and reducing quotas. And the Games are getting more and more elite event. Quotas are going to top powers and and a group of weaker representatives to ensure geographic diversity. The "middle class" is the main victim of this policy. And the result of this policy in a long-term perspective is disastrous for the local sport development. No Olympic quotas means no funds and no young athletes.
  22. Not Ukrainian ) We are in the same boat with you. And may be it is the main reason - the choice between sports and shopping. As you said the rules of the game are clear, and its our free choice.
  23. Arusahnian lost but he is definitely the wresler of the day for me. He started in 1/32 and had so many hard matches, that nothing left for the quota final. Hope he will recover for tomorrow
  24. And we did not opena yet (
  25. I would say yes. Mongolian won over Shustova just because of the injury. And Lecarpentier was good enough to beat AIN
