I hope to see Koliadenko and Zelenykh with the medals at the Olympics. Romanian women team was impressive at the European Championships with Bronze medal in total. Ukraone got gold. I hope thses successes will be converted into some olympic quotas in spring.

A special momet in women wrestling final 65 kg. Iryna Koliadenko won gold for Ukraine and she beated another Ukrainian wrestler in the final. Kateryna Zelenykh found a new home in Romania , her native city of Bakmut was totally destroyed by russians. Our total result is good enough for this squad ( 1 gold + 3 silver + 2 bronze) but it could be better. Hope we will add 4 or 5 Olympic licenses to our only one won by Koliadenko in 62kg.

Sadulaev is officialy out. He was not allowed to visit Romania due to visa problem last moment. Really good news. At the same time UWW allowed so many pro-war atheltes to compete that it looks like a total farce. One of them - Imam Ganishow (FS, 74 kg - is present in the draw-list of the European Championship) is reported to visit occupied territories of Ukraine to support russian soldiers. That is the real face of russian wrestling.

It is still highly possible that Ukraine or Italy enters top-4 instead of the USA. Thus the USA will take American quota. Both european teams look much more motivated since US quota is almost sealed.

I have to be honest - I am happy with our license. But I still cannot believe it. Qualification documents are written in some very strange way. I did not see at all how could we got the license before the announcement fron FINA.

Great news from the upcoming European Wrestling Championships in Romania. 7 of 10 russian freestyle wrestlers did not get romanian visas. Uguyev and Sadulayev (participants of pro-war rally) are at the top of this 7-list. Mamiashvili wanted support from UWW but it looks like they ignored him because he siad that UWW are "scoundrels" and thus "we do not communicate with them". Thus russians are trying to change their roster and send second or even third numbers to Romania - those who got visas. It is notable, that just a few days before Ukrainian NOC send an open letter to the IOC to get explanations: how can those russian wrestlers be allowed to compete and even get olympic licenses with so obvious proofs of their war support. No public reaction is known at the moment, but it looks like UWW is not so active in defending Sadulayev and Co as it was earlier (by now). Of course, the sory continues...

Yes, nothing will be set until the last hit. One more possible scenario which can help both our teams - is to overtake the USA and get place in top 4 (either by or by ). In this case both our teams and will go to Paris.

If and will have a draw today they both can be eliminated. The score is 0:0 after the half-time. If the score stands has to wein 3:2, 4:3, 5:4 e t.c. over . And both these temas will seal tickets to Paris. That is an obvious results of the fact, that and play earlier.

I wish yoou were right, but let's check together. Ukraine has 250 including those 22 pts from the worst result since it should be scratched after the last stage. Thus if we will be places 12th or lower no point will be added to our total score.

With 2 more stages to follow I think mathematically not yet.

A did not calculate men`s tpurnament (because of our very low chabces). For women sabre it is too early. The tournament in Peru is right now in the action (semifinal stage). And after that we still have 2 more stages on the schedule (other weapons have mostly just one stage to go). The situaation is absolutely unclear after the defeats of the USA, Korea and Ukraine and the successes of Mexico, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy

It means that Mexico is fighting for Olympic quota. You are now at the 18th place but have to reach the 16th place and grab continental spot.

I did my calculations before the final had come to an end, but it looks like position of Poland is safe enough. It may happen that your quota can be confirmed today.

As far as I know oly the worst result is to be scratched According to my calculations the battle for the European quota is not finished: - 250 pts. Worst result to be potentially scratched - 22 pts (12th place) - 218 pts. Worst result to be potentially scratched - 24 pts (10th place) - 209 pts. Worst result to be potentially scratched - 23 pts (11th place) Ukraone can be reach by one of these tems only if that team wins gold at the last world cup. Thus maimum points for: - 258 pts. needs 5th place to get 260 pts - 250 pts. needs 11th place to get 251 pts. I do not know the tie-break rules. But Ukraine has Gold and Bronze from the world cups so it could be possible, that Switzerland (no podiums yet) is not in the competition anymore.

So let mathematics begin! )) According to wikipedia total number quotas now is 143. This number includes all the quotas for individual finalists from Doah but not for semifinalists. So we "just" have to know synchro double-starters )
