  1. basically, you're awarded 1 won race because of the placement in the previous races the sailors in this case must win 3 races to win the round and those who placed better in the qualification stage are awarded 2 or 1 win without even racing before the actual round starts (therefore "ghost wins") so, in both semifinals heats, the best ranked in the qualification round started with 2 wins, the 2nd best with 1 win and the others from 0, meaning that the best ranked in the previous round have an advantage over their opponents same criteria is also used in the final round

  10. very good day of non-racing for finally we got a full set of quota places in the Wind- and Kitesurf events, with 1 medal already mathematically in our pocket and 2 more chances to improve our ranking and if no tsunami happens, also in the ILCA 6 and 7 tomorrow we should add 2 more quota places, making the final score of our team very good and fully compliant with the early expectations, even if some success came unexpected (the ILCAs) and some fails came where it shouldn't have happened (the mixed 470 and the women's 49er FX).
