  1. Probably we add TT to the list of Olympic medal probables very soon.
  2. Amit Panghal reaches the final. Creates history.
  3. No medal in Weightlifting; but she stood fourth.
  4. For the first time, we get three quotas in the Worlds itself. This is unprecedented in Wrestling. Bajrang loses in questionable fashion.
  5. Two more quotas in wrestling. Ravi Kumar and Bajrang in semis...
  6. Let us focus mainly on: 1. Shooting 2. Badminton 3. Hockey 4. Wrestling 5. Boxing 6. Weightlifting (Chanu only) 7. Gymnastics (Doubtful as Dipa Karmakar is not there)
  7. Amit Panghal confirm 1st medal for India as he beat Carlo Paalam (CUB) by 4-1 in QF . 3 more Quarterfinal lined for India . India has only won four Bronze so far in history of world championship.
  8. Vinesh has won the quota for the Olympics. She is going for Bronze.
  9. If Vinesh has to win at the Olympics, she has to get past the Russians, the USA and also from the Central European competitors. What is the fuss about tough draw!! This is why we always lose. We get so awed by the opponent.
  10. If this is what we think; then with this logic we should not follow judo at all. The buggers are not doing anything of merit; not even at Asian level. We are improving in Rowing and Cycling every year.
  11. India does not have merit in Asian level for Greco Roman...but 1-2 will win through regional quota.
  12. Still lots of ground to cover even at the Asian stage.
  13. Now we will move to the Wrestling qualifications. Expecting at least 2 to qualify.
  14. The Sweety Pakis will be kicked around by Netherlands.
  15. See, we are sticking to only few sports. The multi-medal sports like Judo, Fencing and Swimming have been always the laggards for us.
  16. No Gaurav Bhidhuri, Shiva Thapa and Sumit Sangwan. No qualifications for sure.
  17. I am having no clue about the qualification. The Notional Ranking shows lots of players. But the BWF Ranking to Rio shows only Sindhu as the best bet. Our very own Prashant bhai is also saying the same. Hence I have logged off from Badminton for the time being.
  18. I was talking about qualification to the Olympics. According to Prashant's data, only Sindhu is the one who has any semblance of going far.
  19. It seems Badminton is a hopeless case. We will have to shift focus to Wrestling and Hockey for this month.
  20. So, does Saina have any chance of playing the Olympics. She is at 30th position in one ranking
  21. There are two ranking for Tokyo on the BWF website: 1) Notional ranking 2) World ranking In the second ranking, Saina Nehwal is at No 30 Which one do we follow?
