  1. How were the conditions in Idre? Simon was over 2 minutes faster in Sjusjeon at Deep Snow conditions. With the Swedes, it will also be a question of whether they are dominant at the start of the season, similar to last year, and break down towards the Olympics or not.

  4. As last year both courses are quite same fast in Lech, dominante so far!
  5. The question is why changed the FIS not the race rules? If I have understood it correctly, many athletes are only interested in the rules being adjusted and the actual sum of both runs being evaluated and there not being a 0.50s rule.
  6. Shocking News for Men‘s Team: After a positive case from one athlete, the whole team is in quarantine in Beitostolen. Regarding to the president the team will only can start training again in 8 days.
  7. They will miss Lake Louise and Beaver Creek. It is also not possible to start in the US without the vaccines. So Lara Gut-Behrami will also maybe miss the Giant Slalom in Killington, if her second vaccination is not 14 days ago then. If Kryenbuhl or Weber want to start at the Olympics, they have to miss Wengen and Kitzbühel, so only have the Events in Val Gardena and Bormio to qualify. Men‘s Downhill Training starts already on 03. February, so they would have to go in quarantine on 12. January, if they want to participate.
  8. In France for the first time, similar to Norway, the qualification for the Olympic Games ends after the fifth World Cup in Ruhpolding. Results from Antholz will no longer be taken into account, according to Stephane Bouthiaux, Head of Biathlon France.

  12. Today was the second part of the French National Championships: In the women's event, Anais Bescond unsurprisingly prevails in an Olympic season. In the men's event Emilien Jacquelin celebrated a good Comeback, although there were weak shooting results especially in the men's event. Sprint Women 1. Anais Bescond (1) 2. Anais Chevalier-Bouchet (2) +15.8 3. Julia Simon (2) +24.9 4. Justine Braisaz-Bouchet (3) +28.8 5. Lou Jeanmonnot (0) +45.7 Sprint Men 1. Emilien Claude (0) 2. Quentin Fillon Maillet (2) +26.7 3. 13. Athletics European Championships in Munich next year will have a much shorter and new qualification system. For past editions athletes had the opportunity to qualify in a circle of 1,5 years (January - to the championships), for Munich only results from 27. July 2021 on (Olympics) will count. Aswell there are much higher Entry Standards and also the World Rankings will count for the Qualification: https://www.obeznik.cz/l/limity-mnichov2022/
  14. One question is, what the hell happened to Dafne Schippers? She started around 10-15 meters away from Visser. Never ever would this exchange be in the box. She already started to soon in the heats, but now even earlier? I‘m not sure if we see her in a relay again, the second big mistake from her after Rio 2016.
  15. So far …. Now it’s time for Protest, and Jamaica is not looking good. Suisse also problems at the last one.
  16. Jamaica and GBR maybe a disqualification at first exchange
  17. Every exchange could go wrong there, I think exchange 3 could be the biggest problem, if Jackson goes not at the right time.
