  1. Things are looking good in my constituency for my candidates I cast my preferential votes for (Carthy, McHugh and Flanagan). Looks like all 3 will win a seat in the EU parliament Also, delighted with the new "green wave" that appears to be sweeping Ireland. The Green Party looks set to win a seat in all 3 of the EU constituencies which could help sway the balance of power in the EU parliament. Very happy with the first tally figures
  2. Sadly yes, that’s why I am voting on green policies
  3. Just back from voting. Voted for a mixture of left-leaning and Green Party candidates in the local and EU elections and voted in favour of the divorce amendment. Also, in Ireland, most candidates and parties and the general public are pro-European and in general the level of anti-EU sentiment is quite low here. I don’t expect turnout to be very strong this year. It’s been a very low-key election this time and Brexit fatigue has really set in so it’s harder to motivate people when it comes to politics at the moment.
  4. Netherlands hosted last in 1980
  5. For me, any time to highlight the persecution of the Palestinians is absolutely the right time. It’s a heartbreaking situation they face day after day, so good on Hatari I say.
  6. For me the jury votes used to be more in line to my taste. But recently I find the jury votes becoming very eccentric. Netherlands getting zeros from many juries just seems a bit odd. It will never seem like there is the right balance though and that's just how things will always be.
  7. Yet again Sweden getting ridiculous jury scores.
  8. NETH-ER-LANDS!!!!!!!!
  9. Come on Netherlands!!
  10. "Europe stop voting now"..... errr, guess no one is going to vote in the EU elections next week then
  11. The crowd didn't even see that interested by her presence
  12. Ok, now to vote for the nation least likely to employ a celeb cameo act for the interval act next year....
  13. Ok, I think I must have lost my mind somewhere during the proceedings tonight.....
  14. I like this Madonna song though... just not so much tonight
  15. OMG this is like Opening Ceremony of TISC Open 2015
  16. @thiago_simoes I was soooo wrong about that 15 mins.... seems like an eternity would have been a more correct answer.
  17. Nana-Banana......
  18. They have the original background graphics from the 1979 performance

  20. They should have made Verka sing Euphoria or something
  21. Haha, this is actually funny
  22. This is a much better version of Fuego
  23. I hope all you TISC fans remember, never points 9 or 11 at ESC
  24. Hmm, with Poland and Lithuania both not in the final this year, the Irish televote could go to anyone. Hoping it's the Netherlands!
  25. I kind of like Spain's entry
