    Yes so I watched the athletes jump against each other. Now the 30 that are through are are facing each other and whoever has the highest score wins?

    Was watching this event on Eurosport and didn’t understand how the competition works as a whole. Could someone briefly explain it?

    Decent First Day of athletics, good to see all our 100m lads qualify for Semis. Holly Bradshaw also comfortably into the Final. Another positive is that 2 of our Steeplechase athletes got new PB, both vastly inexperienced. We also got an athlete into the final of the 5000m in Andrew Butchart. The disappointments being Doyle getting eliminated and Morgan Lake being eliminated from the W High Jump.

    Wow. What a sport this is. First Tournament I’ve followed outside Olympics. I really wish our Olympic Federation put more money into different team sports Volleyball, Handball etc. Instead we keep investing into our “Once Golden-Era” sport Rowing, whom in which we continually underperform and disappoint.

    Not a good start by Zharnel but he eases through in the end. I believe he’s a better 200 racer tho.

    Good races by two of our Athletes, having two in the semis is good. Disappointed by Lynsey as a fellow Scot, we know how much better she can be. She will be in disgust!
