  4. didn't see where it was said that the ukrainian guy complained about it,and anyway yes personal and economic reasons are perfectly valid reasons to choose another country as far as i'm concerned, athletes are not robots, they also need to get paid and be able to eat and live, some countries will be able to suply that better than others, cuban athletics in particular has many such problems, other countries will pull in athletes for money because what they have nationally doesn't cut it,all perfectly legal in the sport world,i remember as a child being upset about Donata rimšaite's flip to Russia and all the controversy about that,it took me a bit but i realized that it was ultimately dumb for me to be mad and that she had every right to leave an enviroment that was absolutely toxic for her.i don't know how it was for this guy but i don't think just because a war is going on means that your sport career MUST be put on hold or remain stagnant if there are better options available, that's just my thinking,in the end we do not pay these people's bills so i don't see a reason for the outrage, nationalism alone doesn't cut it for me here.
  5. LOL,people acting like athletes are country property and don't have reasons to make their own decisions in 2025 is hiliarous to me.
