Exactly as @evil bettysaid, we have to wait about Protected Ranking (Nishikori probably will use it, Cilic dunno), but Nagal is in the last spot and as of now is qualified to Paris. Anyways, if 2 or 3 players announces their withdraw sumit is in no matter what because there are not too many PR in the mens draw -

yes. He got the last spot, the host nation reallocation. Anyways, as he has the last place, if Nishikori or Cilic use their PR he will be the first or second reserve. Other good news is that he ended in the spot 78, and Kwon has a PR of 80 so the korean cant pass him. In the other hand, the Altmaier loss leaves Marterer as the fourth german if he manages to qualify, altmaier miss Paris. -

They changed the rule this cycle, its only 1 team per NOC. And by taking a look to the qualification process, it seems they take the June 10 Rankings to have the combined total -

Altmaier is the only left. If he reaches SF, he passes Marterer for the fourth german place, and i have to make the maths really but i think he needs a final to pass Mensik. Anyways, if Altmaier losses tomorrow or on friday, Mensik qualifies to Paris -

Well, France has a really tough internal battle to pick their n°1 doubles team, because they have 2 very good teams but they have to pick one. For one side, it has Doumbia and Reboul, the 33 and 34 in the Doubles Ranking, which are a good couple, used to playing on clay and definitily a good contender for a medal, knowing that they are playing together for a long time now, but on the other side you have the n°11 in the world, Roger-Vasselin, which is almost a top 10, but he plays with mexican Santiago Gonzalez, so in the olympics he will have to play with his former partner Nicolas Mahut, ranked 52 in the world. So, its really a difficult choice. The 2nd Doubles Team will be one integrated between 2 of the 4 singles players, so it can be anyone, and probably they are gonna lose in the first round. Humbert only has 7 doubles matches between start of 2023 and today, and he only won one (with Shelton in Brisbane), and of the 6 losses 5 were in straight sets. The Monfils case is worst, because he only has 5 matches between 2020-2024, 1 win and 1 loss in Tokyo Olympics with Chardy, 1 win and 1 loss with Bonzi in Montreal 2022 and a loss with Hurkacz in last year Laver Cup. Then, Arthur Fils, 7 matches in 2023 (mostly with Luca Van Assche), only one win (in Wimbledon against the Tsitsipas brothers) and then all losses. Only one match this year, also with Van Assche, a loss in the Barcelona Qualy (6-2 6-1). And finally, Moutet, only one match between 2020-2024, that it was in Wimbledon 2023 with Lestienne, a straight sets loss. Giovanni Mpetsi Perricard its a better option if he ends up getting into the France Singles Team, because he usually plays doubles in the season, and he doesn't have bad results (Final in Lille Challenger in February 2024 and a M25 title in 2022). Same with Arthur Rinderknech (he won the title of the Quimper Challenger at the start of the year with Guinard) -

Navone doesn't meet the Davis Cup Criteria, which is: The player must have fulfilled the minimum participation requirement in the ITF Davis Cup or ITF Billie Jean King Cup Competitions during the Olympic Cycle, by being: (a) part of the final nominated Davis Cup or Billie Jean King Cup team, and present at the tie/event (National Representation) on a minimum of two (2) occasions during the Olympic Cycle, provided that one of those occasions is in either 2023 or 2024. But, there are exemptions for that rule, and Navone fulfilled two of them: b) Newcomer to Davis Cup or Billie Jean King Cup Competition: A player only reaches a ranking level sufficient for Davis Cup or Billie Jean King Cup selection by his/her National Association during the latter part of the Olympic Cycle. (c) Strength of Nation: A National Association has a large number of highly-ranked players resulting in competition for selection, which limits a player’s opportunities to participate in Davis Cup or Billie Jean King Cup. That's basically the reason why he can qualify, the same happen with italian Darderi -

I mean "incredible run" to all the season they are having, not this tournament, knowing that a year ago this couple was not even near of where and what they are now. Really happy for them but on the other side they removed the cousins Grimalt of the quota so its not a good news for argentina hehe -
