  1. Well its a music festival, he's going to be there more for the weed and booze
  2. Straight off the internet Kocian Name Meaning Czech and Slovak (Kocián) and Hungarian (Kócián): from a personal name, from Latin Cassianus, a derivative of the old Roman family name Cassius. Altered form of Slovenian and Croatian Kocjan or Kocijan, vernacular forms of the personal name Kancijan, Latin Cantianus. Saint Cantianus was a martyr under the Roman emperor Diocletian. He died together with his brother and sister in S. Canzian d’Isonzo (Slovenian Škocjan) in Friuli, in northeastern Italy. He was one of the most popular Catholic saints in Slovenia and Croatia in the Middle Ages and many places bear his name (Škocjan ‘Saint Kocjan’). The American surname Kocian may also be a reduced form of the Slovenian patronymics Kocjancic or Kocijancic.
  3. I looked it up and it seems that name is of Czech/Slovak origin

  5. De Jonge is 32 himself, so even if he wins a medal here he might just decide to go out on top and retire as well. And then we'll be in a similar position to rowing
  6. You were way too optimistic, Oldershaw and Van Koeverden were clearly on the decline and I didn't see any chance of a medal for either. They'll probably retire in a few days.
  7. Yeah... Oldershaw and Van Koeverden are probably going to retire now, this was expected tbh after the Pan Am performances

  11. I mean we'll take the bronze tho lol, looking good for us when the old men retire
  12. It really was time wise, but to be fair it would be hard for anyone to follow up Van Niekerk
  13. De Grasse with a bronze! The first medal for a Canadian man in Rio and the streak of days with at least 1 medal continues!
  14. I'm sure the US ice hockey team is sick of us kicking their asses too, it is what it is
  15. Abel was in 3rd place on last dive and got passed by the Italian just like in the synchro, probably no medal for us today
  16. Compared to prelims Masse 58.77 < Masse 58.66 Nicol 1:06.81 > Nicol 1:06.97 Oleksiak 56.75 > Thomas 57.66 Van Landeghem 53.16 > Ruck 53.51 Denmark Nielsen 58.75 > 59.48 Pedersen 1:06.62 > 1:06.88 Ottesen 56.43 > 57.38 Blume 53.21 > 53.24
  17. Penny could've taken 4 or 5 tenths off Van Landeghem's freestyle leg, but her butterfly leg was 9 tenths ahead of Thomas' time in the prelim, so it wouldn't have been worth it in the end I feel
  18. Yet we still broke our national record by another second lol, unfortunately no medal
  19. She would need to beat Thiam by like 20 seconds lol, and no way she can beat Ennis by the margin needed
  20. Heptathlon Top 5 with 800m to go Thiam 5939 Ennis-Hill 5797 Theisen-Eaton 5681 Schafer 5669 Ikauniece-Admidina 5644
  21. 13 point difference for bronze atm, this is gonna be close
  22. Brianne is in bronze by 13 points atm
