  1. Wrestling has the worst draws of any sport, its completely random, and all of our girls had to face medallists 1st or 2nd round, it was unrealistic to expect them to repeat the 2 medals of 2012 with that luck. Judo is also very random, and our only good weightlifter retired. The only disappointment in my eyes has been Diving
  2. Almost all the medals from London 2012 that we failed to replicate here were won by older or now retired athletes
  3. Lappage was against the 2014 world champion and 2015 bronze medallist, Gallays against the 2014 bronze medallist
  4. Andre with a NR of 19.80 to advance to the finals
  5. Well Mayer's PB's don't matter because he's 219 points up on his Decathlon PB atm anyway lol
  6. After the first day of Decathlon Eaton 4621 Kazmirek 4500 Warner 4489 Mayer 4435 Taiwo 4419
  7. Phylicia George makes 100m Hurdles final
  8. Warner still 39 points behind his NR pace, his 400m is quicker than Mayer and Taiwo's, Kazmirek's is similar. No point focusing on Eaton, he would have to make a major mistake to lose gold
  9. Yeats loses to Fransson of Sweden
  10. Considering it would be a surprise if we get a medal at all in equestrian, it's a good result regardless
  11. Warner has a poor shot, now 39 points behind his NR pace, and Mayer has hugely closed the gap After 3/10 events Eaton 2803 Warner 2708 Mayer 2699 De Araujo 2648 Kazmirek 2633
  12. Ezekiel Kemboi walked through the mixed zone for the press and said it was the last track race of his career. Happy retirement Ezekiel!
  13. After 2/10 events in Decathlon Warner is 8 points up on his pace at 2015 World Champs (where he set NR) Eaton 2030 Warner 2000 Kazmirek 1892 Mayer 1863 Ziemek 1858
  14. Oldershaw and E. Fournel eliminated, Cochrane/H. Fournel advance to final
  15. Bishop looked really good in her heat
  16. Fajdek doesn't make the final, what a shock
  17. Fajdek only throws 72.00m in qualifying and now is in serious danger of missing the final

  19. I did, and some swim experts predicted her to make final in some events
  20. Considering we had no athletes that were big favourites for the gold, this is a really good result to have 3 golds. Different judges or a slightly worse touch at the wall and we could have 1 gold
  21. Canada is used to winning medals in all the niche events... suddenly 9 between Athletics and Swimming lol, we'll take it
  22. I think Drouin makes up for the poor performance by Barber, who would've had to jump 5.85 anyway (which he only jumped a couple times this season) to even get a bronze
