That is NOT an easy course. Shiffrin is anything but lucky. Patrick Staudacher or Daniela Ceccharelli were lucky, when you have 56 World Cup wins and 4 WCh gold medals at age 23 luck has nothing to do with it.

Everyone made mistakes including Shiffrin & Goggia. The course suited GS experienced girls more than donwhillers like Siebenhofer or even Stuhec. Everyone made mistakes, the course was tricky but the snow conditions seemed to catch many if not all of them out. Vonn made a tight turn and crashed through the gate, several others were mere inches from doing the same especially at the gate where Shiffrin missed her turn.
