Well, I didn't pick Mayer to win any medal so I just waited for this injury to derail his event like the whole season already.
My podium was Warner - Kaul - Victor
-
No way Mayer does anything in the PV with that hamstring.

120 point swing for KJT in the long jump. So she leads by 216 ahead of the javelin.
Thiam really needs that 15 meter cushion in the JV and that might not be good enough. 10 meters is 200 pts.
-
KJT 6,77, Thiam 6,35 in the second round. That's +136 pts for KJT.
-
Two no jumps for Kendell Williams...
-
KJT 6,32, Thiam 6,25 in the first jump.

Sadly some of the usual suspects are missing (Gierisch, Diame, the greek girl, the girl from Israel). Does anyone know what happened to the girl from Greece and the girl from Israel?
Papachristou is injured and Knyazeva suffered a stress fracture during national champs in mid-September. She's actually in Doha as a spectator.

Povea (SB 14,69) bombs out at 14,08.

Wolfgang Perner (biathlon) has died aged 52 after long illness (probably cancer).
He was involved in the doping scandal at 2006 WOG together with W.Rottmann.

Not sure if it was really a foul from Mayer
It seems like his left foot stepped out so it was a foul IMO.

I suppose she has UK citizenship now too? Quite handy given the Brexit mess

Richard Kilty's wife is quite a looker
-
Mayer looks to be done here. Hamstring seems to be the issue.

Kazmirek stumbles in the hurdles and is OUT!

Meanwhile Ortega's appeal was rejected:

How come both athletes share bronze medal if Halasz attempt proven to be wrong?
They said Halasz achieved that result in R1 and he would have approached the rest of the competition differently had he known it was a failure. Polish team agreed that awarding two bronze medals was the best solution and IAAF concurred.
-
Shubenkov is a former World Champion, his silver isn't a miracle
Btw, Wojciech Nowicki has been awarded bronze medal since Halasz's 78,18m throw has been proved to be overstepped in the circle. Since the protest was lodged after the competition ended, he gets to keep his medal too.

Meanwhile Bernie Sanders has had a heart procedure and halts his campaign. Geez, you tell me a 78-year old man has health issues? Shocking!

I see posts getting deleted. Can't erase people's memory though

Which athlete are you talking about?
D.Ferguson & Kambundji, obviously.
I don't even want to know what you think of Cydonie Mothersill winning Cayman Island's only WC medal ever in 22,88.

Like i said, you are incapbable of leading a serious discussion + you apparently think that you can read the mind of other people. You are just beyond help.
And you have zero respect for an athlete's career achievements so I can't treat you seriously either.

Sure ... no point in trying to lead a discussion with you.
Debbie Ferguson wouldn't be talking to you either so I'm in good company

Ortega got impeded there. Nothing he can do about it tho.
McLeod will be DQ.
-
McLeod clattered like the 2nd hurdle and lost the rhythm from there...

We have a number of guys over 22m and several other well over 21,50 this season so the Q standard here seems extremely generous tbh. If you can't throw 20,90 you're basically a modern day scrub.
