So Kazakhstan's fate is in his own hand. Nice. I hope the perfect elevator team will stay! But Latvia' first game was very good, and they are unlucky with 3 ot lose.

well, they are actually pretty close to use the elevator again :d If Latvia will win today in regular time, Kazakhstan will be relegated

Definitely the myth about a big seven ended in 2013-2014. but in fact it´s a pretty long while we were not anymore a great hockey nation. yes, hockey is something like a religion here, and it´s definitely the national sport and pride, but after Sochi the things started to tumble down, coruptions problems inside the federation, NHL players boycotting the National team untill the president of federation will be fired, relations problems between some great players, like was the problem between Chára and Šatan, etc, etc... ..resulted in this whole shit we have last 2 years in our hockey, we aren´t even able to beat Belarus....

Light? yes I see it, just improve relations between the federation and our best players. and will start to call them and the players themselves will want to play again in our National jersey...

We experience hard times, difficult situation for all..for fans, for our hockey

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
