So, I made to update olympic profile for Žan Košir and publish all results. In the end, our national team took 2 medals (silver and bronze) and finished 17 times in top 10. Despite in Sochi our athletes took 8 medals, we have to be very satisfied with these results, also there are already some young guns (Lampič, Meta Hrovat, Timi Zajc, ...), who will carry proudly our flag in Beijing 2022. :)

  • 5 months later...

Road to Tokio is finally starting also for :SLO.

Tina Mrak and Veronika Macarol should be first confirmed Olympian in Sailing (Women's 470) after qualifying for the final 10, and being top 7 counting only one boat per nation.

    • Pastrňák is not confirmed, he Is allowed from Boston, but he will finally decide on Monday.
    • Some Lithuanian discus results from back home got another men over 60 with Armandas Miliauskas finishing with a new pb of 60.40[he's 24 so i'm not really cheering this a whole lot,but hey he's crossed that barrier now],of course Andrius Gudžius won the comp plenty of fouls as is usual for him early in the season and at home but a 65.77 is a solid opener for someone who had no ramona plans ,it's by a few cm better than what Ceh did at the european throwing cup and actually exactly what janssen threw to win there.

    • Tomorrow, instead of the traditional mixed relay, a completely new individual race format will be on stage: the socalled 3km knockout sprint, where 3 rounds (heats, semifinals and finals) will be contested to crown the winner   I'm very curious to see what happens, even if this kind of competition imho is completely against the spirit of long distance open water swimming    in other words, bring back the good old 25km races instead of these new fuckin' stupid formats!!!
