And for the first time since 2002.. John Shuster will not be curling in the Olympics for Team USA.  He loses the best-of-3 to Danny Casper.

 

Casper now heads to the OQE to try and secure their spot in Milan

Here we go!

 

Thursday: Team Cory/Korey will face off against :NOR at 04:05 EST and :SUI at 08:35.

Friday: vs. :CAN at 04:05 and :CZE at 08:35.

 

Then Opening Ceremonies.  :) 

 

I honestly don't know about curling rankings/odds.  What're our chances in these matches?

:ITA is definitely the favorite in mixed doubles. :GBR should probably win a medal as well. Those will be our two toughest matches I think.

 

For the first four matches, we should definitely beat :CZE. I think we are slight favorites against :NOR and :SUI. The match against :CAN should be very competitive.

Nice way to wake up, realizing we won our first XD match! 8-6 vs. :NOR  It was tied 6-6 in the 7th, they had hammer, and we still stole two in the last end. :)

Just finished watching the replay of the match. Made some mistakes early on, especially in the 2nd end. We capitalized on multiple Norway mistakes in the 8th end to get the steal. Plenty of room for improvement for USA, but good to start with a win!
