Ghiotto won 5000 with a track recor but his advantage over Snellink was surprisingly small. If not for the Dutchman's wobble on the penultimate lap, it could have been even smaller - less than 1 second. I was more afraid of Eitrem, who was 3rd today with a loss of over 3 seconds. I think that Ghiotto would have lost to Roest today, but I hope that this is not the Italian's peak form. It is clear that Ghiotto changed his tactics a bit - i.e. he saved more strength for the last 2 laps and there he gained some time over Snellink. It is important that on 5 km Roest was still beating him in the same way - very strong last 2 laps.
Anyone know where the Stubai qualification/finals will be live streamed? Preferably no VPN…
I tried looking on the FIS Freestyle Skiing YouTube channel but nope.
Guignard's and Fabbri's free play proved to be horrendous, someone hang whoever thought of it. Changed the costumes (which even brought a deduction last time), changed the second part. Enough to win today, but it remains horrendous
