Italy confirmed their superiority in men's sabre by winning also the team event...and we also got another precious medal among the girls, where Hungary won the team gold as expected and Germany repeated themselves after the surprising medal at the junior Europeans a few weeks ago...

disaster, absolute disaster for Italy!:wall:

first, the Borodachev family just destroyed our men's team, then Favaretto once again couldn't add a world youth gold to her career...last year she lost twice (in both the cadet and junior events) to the Japanese talent Yuka Ueno, this time she fell on the last step against an average American, who had the day of her life (she beat also Ueno to make the final)...

at that point, the silver medal is just a really small (too small) consolation...

Russia dominating also the male cadets and Scruggs "in the bubble", going for the double (like Ueno last year)...

another disappointing day for Italy and for Jessica Guo, the Canadian 13 years young sensation who already got some interesting results among the senior ranks...

these champs are definitely not for the "top" youngsters, who already did show some good stuff in the real men(women)'s competitions...:mumble::facepalm:
