it looked that we were almost back to the good old times when Italy used to be untouchable...

very happy for Palumbo, who this time finally has been able to win an assault against queen Deriglazova...

 

among the boys, well...it's quite clear that at the moment Foconi and Imboden are well above the rest of the field...shame that they had to face each other before the Gold Medal bout...

surprising first career podium among the seniors for our 18-year young talent Tommaso Marini...and he did reach the final assault beating the reigning world champion Alessio Foconi, non the less...

 

and great, great match between Deriglazova and Volpi...women's foil at the very best...some exchanges were really amazing and exciting...if only once every while we could watch a few more assaults like that!

the Olympic Qualification Period has officially started...

 

but the Italian results haven't changed at all...we have absolutely no girls capable of going beyond the round of 16 in the individual competitions...

 

and the "Errigo-gate" is just getting hotter...
