China will end the women's ranking 7 points ahead of Andorra in 20th, meaning there is one fewer spot 'on the market' for other countries (although to be fair, if Andorra had gotten it, the extra reallocated spot would most likely be accepted by China anyway ). -

Hats off Suddenly, the race for the Olympic medals just got a lot more interesting (Canada, Sweden, Korea, Switzerland, China, Italy, Japan are all strong contenders, even though Switzerland/Canada have been the dominant ones I still remember what happened with Tirinzoni in Beijing) -

Pellegrino skipped the team sprint today to fight tomorrow for 3rd place in the general classification with Valnes. I hope that the Italian team is also monitoring the situation in the Nations Cup and this was also planned in this scenario. -

The gap between the two countries is around 46 points. If the Italian skiers have the better day tomorrow overall, then Italy should be able to take back 5th place -
I live in Seattle, and Alaska (the airline I primarily fly) has a direct flight to Sun Valley. -

Seems a bit subdued in Canada. But the 16 days will tell the story. International sport doesn't typically get much attention outside the Olympics, especially not the summer sports.
Though I have noticed more athletes are being featured in commercials, so it's nice they're getting some endorsements
