ExpandI was just discussing with my friends about trying to go to the Olympics in Paris since I'll be moving there for a bit this fall to study abroad. (probably still won't be there for Olympics though) but I was saying I honestly have very little desire to go to the olympics because I'd rather sit at home with 5 different screens so I can watch as many as events as possible (from the comfort of my own home) maybe I just don't like big crowds... but going to see 100m finals would be a dream.
That's a fair point. I think it's something I would love to do once or twice, but after that, I'll sit on the couch for 16 straight days and watch all the events, so I don't miss anything.
ExpandI graduate with a bachelor’s degree next week

You give the same exact advice I’d give to anyone else in communications, entertainment, or management.
Congrats!!! Great to hear!
ExpandWow we are similar. I am pursuing a degree in Mass Communications (Journalism focus) starting in the fall and would absolutely love working at LA28.
I am more interested in the broadcasting side but also do work with newspaper (online and print) reporting.
Awesome! Good luck! I'm two years into my degree (halfway done). I've had a blast so far. I've been able to cover some cool events like the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament (sat front row). My tip: don't say no to anything. If any opportunity comes up, pounce on it. You never know what's going to happen.
ExpandThey should just make the three of us the Gen Z Comms Team

That would be a blast haha!
ExpandI’m happy working either side of the communications industry. I think I prefer journalism a little more to marketing/PR, but my field of study (and soon to be degree) is in public relations.
I've never really looked into the marketing/PR side of the industry. I think marketing would be really interesting, especially after the poor marketing that FIFA displayed last night for the 2026 World Cup logo.
ExpandIt was a comms position.
Gotcha. I'm sure there will be other positions as 2028 gets closer. I was actually scrolling through their careers page on the LA28 website the other day. My dream scenario would be to cover to cover LA28 for a news outlet. I am pursuing a Journalism degree right now. If I can't cover it, I would ideally be there as a fan.
ExpandIdeally, I’d like to work them if I’m in the LA Metro Area. I made it to the last round of interviews for an internship position, but I wasn’t choosen.
Sorry to hear that. What kind of internship position was it for?
Does anyone here plan on attending the LA 2028 games?

Any guesses as to how much tickets will be? Also, any ideas on lodging? I think an Air BNB would be the best option, either near the Long Beach venues or near the shooting/equestrian venues.
