Obviously, like every four years, the usual media circus has kicked off, with Italian politics and the government demanding the FIGC president’s head on a spike. Meanwhile, since the president is also an idiot, he doubled down, saying that football players are the only professionals and that other sports survive on government money. And so, the little theater begins, with the big stars of other sports launching a media storm (rightly so) to insult overpaid football players who can’t even achieve the minimum results.
