At the 1-week mark to the Grand Final of the Totallympics Annual International Song Contest 2018, the organizing committee is proud to announce this year official motto. From Algeria to Italy, and Kazakhstan to Venezuela, more than 50 nations have participated at least one time throughout the 10 editions of the contests, with countries representing Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania and the Americas. After having as hosts nations such as Great Britain, Ireland, Lithuania, Mexico and Tunisia, TISC arrives for the first time in South America, as the celebrations will take place in Brazil next weekend.
Twice a year, users from around the world reunite on Totallympics in a big celebration of the universal language of music. In the words of the late singer John Denver, "music does bring people together. It allows us to experience the same emotions. People everywhere are the same in heart and spirit. No matter what language we speak, what color we are, the form of our politics or the expression of our love and our faith, music proves: We are the same." That was one of the inspirations for the Brazil 2018 contest official motto "Music connects the world" (Música conecta o mundo, in portuguese), but mostly this is about all the forum members that make this such a special event.
