  1. Ceremony is tomorrow if look at the TV Schedule and PDF Schedule. The sports begin tomorrow.
  2. A pile of dog shit would be better than Rabat 2019’s website. There’s a PDF version of the schedule with the right days on it.
  3. World Record for in one of the shot put events. It was on his third throw and he’s finished at the halfway mark. He seems to think he’ll be the only throwing that far today. I’d say he’s right, so good choice to conserve energy.
  4. Silver for in men’s T11 (blind) 5000m @hckosice
  5. is the only Spanish speaking African country (at least as the main language). I’m not sure about their Portuguese credentials.
  6. Bronze for in judo! Brilliant work all day from Subba
  7. Yeah out of all the martial arts, Karate is the one with the most set winners. Good karatekas rarely lose at the top level.
  8. I’ve never seen Wheelchair Tennis played on a clay court before. This could be interesting...
  9. Well there are a few Portuguese speaking African nations ( off the top of my head), but that is a good question. It shouldn’t been there either way.
  10. Gold for ! Not unexpected, Henry Borges is a very good judoka, but still most likely their only gold medal of the games.
  11. Oh, very serious injury for an judoka. The medics had to stretcher him off the tatami. Hopefully he’s okay. He was on the wrong end of a very good ippon, but I think he did something to his foot/ankle before that.
  12. First ever shooting gold medal at a Parapan American Games goes too...!!! Silver and Bronze for in a very close final. That was a fun one to watch.
  13. I only came into this thread to celebrate with y’all (because I’m trying to avoid spoilers). All the slalom athletes were watching from their hotel and went crazy when she won. I still can’t believe it. We’re supposed to suck at canoe, but we’ve had a few above average performances in Hungary this time around. I’m really hopeful for all US canoeing at the Olympics next year. I honestly don’t know if we’ve ever had a better canoe program.
  14. That’s ok the Parapan Am Games are helping with Plan B. I’ll probably watch both and sleep very little this week.
  15. I can’t handle the two little boys (with disabilities) playing tag. I’m gonna cry ?
  16. It really is cool to see how seriously Peru has taken these games. I’ve seen equal marketing to the Pan Ams on their social media accounts, all the national TV and newspapers are reporting on the Parapan American Games. Plus, thousands of people turned out for the opening ceremony. In genuinely excited for these games. I love para-sport, and I can’t wait a great week of it.
  17. @hckosice has a pretty good size team here. They should manage to grab a few medals hopefully.
  18. We’re going to send our best rakers
  19. When it comes to roller sports it’s material and wheel size that matter. The taller the wheels, the faster you’ll skate. Material can have some small differences too, but generally not enough in the long run to affect much (unless you have stripped wheels, worn down wheels, or too new wheels)
  20. @intoronto Since you generally seem to be in the know, any idea if Canada has selected a boys or girls hockey team? They can only send one.
  21. Blocked in your country . I’ll use my vpn after the ceremony ends because it struggling to keep up with streams lately.
  22. Well, it appears as though every sport will be broadcast. Only those 4 + Badminton will be broadcast with full graphics and multiple cameras though. I think I’ll enjoy these games highly. Especially since I can watch whatever I want too (hopefully).
  23. Yeah finally figured it out a while ago. Unfortunately all the Pan Am flies are gone, so no homemade results books for those games
  24. The biggest thing I’ve hated about Lima 2019 is their results website. It crashes often, and there’s no way to save the PDFs, which I love to do for all multi-sports games (besides the smaller and military based ones). I honestly would’ve loved both games more, had the results website been better. That’s really my only major complaint.
