  1. "Fly a flag" sounds like those nationalists who need to have flags in their garden and everywhere and salute when they see their flag anywhere and sing the anthem every morning and make children start their school days by reciting some national verse or something
  2. NEW USER ALERT @Function CR Lee Ni hao and welcome to Totallympics
  3. According to someone who I think is knowledgeable on the matter (on Reddit), the Turkmen woman actually did have 104kg on the bar when 104kg was announced, but there was a problem with the lifting order.
  4. Improvement in the 3rd attempt. Well, improvement as in he didn't nearly kill himself. You're right, a coach should have told him to just let this be..
  5. Wow, Lai nearly got 116kg straight on the back of his neck..
  6. "I know Iran once had a world champion, but forgot his name....I believe an 'Ali' once won a gold medal." :p
  7. Commentator talking about maybe the water being distilled :yikes:
  8. Because I prefer English But just in case, where can I watch Turkmen TV?
  9. I'm quite certain someone on Reddit or something figures it out
  10. I do that when I watch on TV, but the problem is it's not on TV and I have to watch on a stream, which is at least 30-40 seconds behind but probably even a minute.....meaning I'd see the lift result too early every time I do use it after snatch though
  11. Kwak Un-bom in Dutch could be sort of translated to 'Throw a bomb' or something, interesting name for a North Korean
  12. Not only the weightlifting in particular, but especially the 55kg that's about to start now considering Om Yun-chol is one of my all-time favourite athletes
  13. Uuuugh Olympic Channel is messing up again, stopping all the time....the YOG horror continues..
  14. I don't care what happens in the next hour or so of my life, let's go Om
  15. Since I was in time only to see the last two attempts (one Thai and one Turkmen), and the commentator was a little vague about the 'judges error' in the 2nd attempt, what happened exactly? I am looking the video now and see she tried and succesfully lifted 104kg, but then did the second attempt again at 105 (and missed it). I read a comment here that there was a wrong weight, so can anyone enlighten me? In the '104kg' lift, how much did she actually lift?
  16. That is awesome Start in a little over one hour would have been too late for me and I would have missed most
  17. By the way about the name abbreviations: it's not perfect, but just keep the start list close and it's not hard to know who's who....more importantly they finally have some sort of live graphics, although it's still a bit 'meh' that during the CJ they show the CJ standings in those graphics instead of the much more important total standings But still, improvement!
  18. Wait I think I got the times wrong, men's 55kg starts in a few minutes or in one hour and a few minutes?
  19. This YouTube channel is fast in uploading the full event https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNLuqfFHqS2pThyb_QDd8xg
  20. Too bad for you our Slovak friend already told me Don't kill him please.
  21. Yeah, my advice: don't even think about doing that manually. If it can't be done in 1-2 minutes, don't do it, especially not for events and sports which already have a very good (better in terms of filtering and searching results) online results database.
