    I don't think so, because they did make some changes recently. For example their trials will now be held 5 weeks before the championships, and not months / years ahead.

    Yeah, the Commonwealth Games do not count as a global event in my book. Warholm, Samba and Rai are better than him, so he looks to be an outsider for a medal. Additionally, he very much flopped at his first Worlds in 2017...

    FINA probably did something indeed. It's a very bad image for the sport if someone wins all dozen events. Interestingly, artistic swimming and diving are probably the only Olympic sports with 10+ medal events where a gold medal sweep is possible. Makes you wonder.
