    WWE Payback 2020

    Predictions:

The Riott Squad vs. The IIconics
    Tag Team Match

A few weeks back Ruby Riott found herself on the receiving end of mockery from Peyton Royce & Billie Kay, with the Australian duo claiming Riott had no friends. But after apologizing to her estranged partner Liv Morgan, The Riott Squad was back in action and the odds evened against The IIconics. But in several bouts pitting members of the two teams against each other, it seemed as though Riott and Morgan needed to get back on the same page, while The IIconics often had the last laugh. Although last week on RAW, The Riott Squad teamed up with Bianca Belair in a winning effort against the team of Zelina Vega and The IIconics, they still must prove that they are working on the same page.

    Prediction: The Riott Squad

    Big E vs. Sheamus
    Singles Match

The New Day powerhouse defeated Sheamus earlier this month on the blue brand, as Big E has continued to build momentum at the start of his Singles run. Sheamus has built his WWE career by crushing the dreams of the most optimistic Superstars. It'll be interesting to see how Sheamus' mood will affect him, as on SmackDown 2 days ago, he just left the match he participated in. Big E is on a roll lately and I can't see someone to stop him for the time being.

    Prediction: Big E

    Matt Riddle vs. King Corbin
    Singles Match

Matt Riddle wants to be “The Bro That Runs The Show,” but King Corbin doesn’t think he even deserves a role. Corbin put a “King’s Ransom” out for any Superstar who could prove Riddle didn’t belong on SmackDown. Shorty G made repeated efforts to take down the bounty, but The Original Bro thwarted every attempt. Riddle opened the latest SmackDown with a challenge for Corbin, but the royal Superstar offered Shorty G to do his bidding once again. I don't like Riddle, as he does look like he's 24/7 high. As it looks like this will be their first encounters of many, I'm going with some sneaky victory by The King with the help of his apprentice - Shorty G.

    Prediction: King Corbin

United States Champion Apollo Crews vs. Bobby Lashley
Singles Match for the United States Championship

Apollo Crews may have prevailed over MVP, but that doesn’t mean he’s seen the last of The Hurt Business. Crews will have to go through The Hurt Business’ All Mighty when defends his United States Championship against Bobby Lashley. Warring with MVP for months, Crews has become the primary target of his loquacious rival’s newly formed battalion. The fast-rising champion turned aside MVP’s best at SummerSlam, but Lashley represents an entirely different challenge with his unparalleled strength. After at RAW, Crews defeated Lashley in arm wrestling and then stood tall after they brawled, it'll be almost impossible for Apollo to walk out as champion.

    Prediction: Bobby Lashley

Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins & Murphy
    Tag Team Match

Though they were robbed of a chance to beat Seth Rollins & Murphy (after RETRIBUTION interfered in their match and assaulted the father and son), Dominik & Rey Mysterio will get another opportunity to topple their foes. Dominic made an amazing in-ring debut at SummerSlam and he just came up short in a valiant effort against the four-time World Champion. They were so close of getting their redemption on Monday, but again as I said earlier, they came short. After months of humiliation the father-son duo will finally get the opportunity to score a victory against their mortal enemies.

Prediction: Rey & Dominik win this, with Dominik getting the pin on Murphy

    Keith Lee vs. Randy Orton
    Singles Match

Keith Lee has just arrived on the red brand and he immediately jumped into the deep end for a heavyweight collision with 13-time World Champion Randy Orton. Back from NXT we know that Lee and McIntyre are friends and after Orton assaulted Drew with a couple of Punt Kicks (3 to be exact), Lee was there to stepped up for his friend and challenged Orton to an impromptu singles match. The match itself didn't get a clean finish, as McIntyre interfered to get another piece of Orton, resulting in the match being thrown out. This is Lee's in-ring debut for the red brand and it's important to build him strong. On the other side, Orton is the hottest thing right now on RAW and he's in the middle of his feud with McIntyre, so a loss here won't do anything good for him. Both men are in a must win situation, but after his loss at SummerSlam, I think Orton needs this more than his opponent. As for Lee, it's nothing to be ashamed of, losing a match against the 13-time World Champion, so he can quickly recover from it, even quicker if the finish is a sneaky roll-up or something.

    Prediction: Randy Orton

Women's Tag Team Champions Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax
Tag Team Match for the Women's Tag Team Championship

For "The Golden Role Models", SummerSlam was a tale of two matches, as Sasha Banks assisted Bayley in retaining the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Asuka, though Bayley was unable to return the favor when Banks lost the Raw Women’s Title to The Empress of Tomorrow later in the evening. Meanwhile, Jax and Baszler make for quite the intriguing tandem. Calling them “reluctant partners” would be quite the understatement, as Baszler and Jax have shown nothing but disdain for one another while getting into multiple melees over the past few weeks. The question is, will WWE finally pull the trigger for Banks and Bayley or they'll get back to their winning ways. Another interesting team that could take the title belts off of "The Golden Role Models" is The Riott Squad, but every time WWE make an odd team that on paper could not work together, they do actually get the win. So I think, that's what will happen at Payback, the odd team of Baszler & Jax will argue at some point during the match, but after the final bell, they will be the ones to hold the Women's Tag Team titles up high in the air.

Prediction: Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax

Universal Champion "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman
No Holds Barred Triple Threat Match for the Universal Championship

The Big Dog left no room for interpretation when he made his shocking return at SummerSlam: He wants the Universal Championship. But to get it, Roman Reigns will have to go through two of the most powerful and demented forces in all of WWE as he challenges new champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and “The Monster” Braun Strowman in a massive No Holds Barred Triple Threat Match. Wyatt had just won the title a week ago in the main event of SummerSlam, but Reigns wasted no time after the titanic title tilt to Spear his way right into the Universal Championship picture, leaving both men lying after an intense assault and hoisting the Universal Title high. Before last SmackDown I kinda thought that it's way too early to take the title off of "The Fiend", but after I watched SmackDown and saw that Reigns is now aligned with Paul Heyman I have no doubts about the end of the match. As Reigns said to end the show: "I will be at Payback on Sunday, that is a promise. I will be in the Triple Threat Match, WRECK EVERYONE AND LEAVE, that is a guarantee. And I will win back my Universal Championship, that I never lost in the first place. THAT IS NOT JUST A PREDICTION, THAT'S A SPOILER!"

Prediction: Roman Reigns pins Strowman to win the Universal Championship

Those are my predictions for the Payback PPV. I really want to watch it LIVE, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to stay awake. There's lots of garbage matches on the card, which will come up first and they'll make me drowsy. The matches I'm most interested in are:
    Universal Championship match
    Women's Tag Team Championship
    Kieth Lee vs. Orton
and maybe The Mysterio Family vs. Rollins and Murphy

See you again for the Payback Review.

@bmoOK man, if you like AEW, no one is stopping you from watching. But I totally must disagree with you that WWE is unwatchable, especially SummerSlam, because every single match have it's own unique storyline, which makes it special. Bayley and Sasha Banks, "The Fiend", Drew McIntyre, they are the best performers at the moment and have the best feuds and storylines, as couple of times I said before  - Bayley and Sasha's storyline is something I adore right now, it's just awesome.

    WWE SummerSlam 2020

    Prediction:

United States Champion Apollo Crews vs. MVP
Singles Match for the United States Championship

MVP is a legend in the company and his role is more like a manager than a wrestler. He doesn't need the title, so there is no point of giving it to him. Apollo is retaining here and we can see two paths for him - starting a feud with another member of "The Hurt Business" or maybe joining them. But those are just speculations, so for the time being Apollo will stay the US Champion.

Prediction: Apollo Crews retains the US title

    Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville
No Disqualification Match. Loser Leaves WWE

The original stipulation for this match was - Hair vs. Hair, as the winner must shave loser's hair, but it was later changed to a No DQ, as the loser must leave WWE. The feud between the two was a bit off (for me), but nonetheless this will end it. Probably the stipulation was changed, because one of the two asked for a time off and this is the way to write the wrestler off of TV. It's a 50/50 here, because both women are stuck in the under-card for sometime now. It's still safer bet for Rose to win the match, so I'm going with it.

    Prediction: Mandy Rose wins

RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits vs. Andrade & Angel Garza
Tag Team Match for the RAW Tag Team Championship

My personal opinion on this is that I'm really pissed with The Street Profits. They are boring, unfunny and I just don't like them. They are holding the titles for 173 days and I think that's enough. Also, besides Andrade & Garza, there is no other heel team that could go on to challenge The Street Profits for the title. Both Andrade & Garza are great wrestlers and putting the titles on them will be a great mix for the tag division.

Prediction: Andrade & Angel Garza capture the RAW Tag Team Championship

    Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins
    Street Fight

The saga between the Monday Night Messiah and Mysterio family continues. This will be Dominik's in-ring debut and what an upset could happen if he beats Rollins. But thinking logically, this kid doesn't have any experience and getting beat up by Seth is the most logical thing. But as the match is a Street Fight, there will be a lot of interference by both Rey Mysterio and Murphy. Could we also see an interference by a returning Aleister Black? This is very personal for Dominik, as he is here to defend the pride of his father. For Dominik it's not just a match, but a shot at redemption for his father.

    Prediction: Dominik defeats Rollins

SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley vs. Asuka
Singles Match for the SmackDown Women's Championship

This PPV will take the first major step in the dissension of Bayley and Sasha. For that to happen, one of the two must lose her belt to Asuka. Bayley in the past few weeks has been booked very weak and poorly. First she lost clean to Asuka on the August 10th episode of RAW, then was tapped out by Shayna Baszler on the August 17th episode of RAW (it was a tag team match, also involving Sasha Banks and Asuka) and finally, Bayley lost clean to Naomi on the August 21st episode of SmackDown. WWE had put a lot of work for Bayley in the past year and she is the top heel of SmackDown, so after all those loses she'll prove herself, when it matters the most.

Prediction: Bayley retains the SmackDown Women's Championship

RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks vs. Asuka
Singles Match for the RAW Women's Championship

As I said for the previous match, one of the "Role Models" will going to lose her belt to Asuka. As I predicted Bayley to retain, it's simple to say that Sasha Banks will lose her RAW Women's Championship. The storyline for the night will be something like this - Bayley must defend her title first, as she lost a "Beat the Clock Challenge" to Sasha on the go-home show of SmackDown. After a grueling match, Bayley will be victorious and will walk out with her title. After the match, Asuka will be weakened and Banks will think that she'll easily retain her title too. Well, nope! In the start of the match, Banks will be aggressive, but Asuka will turn things around and will pin/submit Banks to win the title. Maybe next week on Payback, Bayley and Sasha could lose their Tag Titles and the tension between them will grow immensely.

Prediction: Asuka to win the RAW Women's Championship

Universal Champion Braun Strowman vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt
Falls Count Anywhere Match for the Universal Championship

I think WWE have done great work with this feud, which started immediately after WrestleMania 36 and this will be it's final chapter. We could say, this is the rubber match between the two, because at Money in the Bank, Strowman defeated Bray Wyatt. Then at the Extreme Rules PPV, Wyatt defeated Strowman. From this point onward Strowman has started to act a little different, a bit more menace and as you can see, he changed his hairstyle. The story which we were presented was that Strowman doesn't care for his friends anymore and he only wants to end the existence of "The Fiend". In conclusion I would say that Strowman has turned heel, as he tried to injure/kill Wyatt on the go-home show of SmackDown. On the other hand, we have a creature, who even tried to help and save Alexa Bliss from the hands of "The Monster". Could we see a face turn for "The Fiend", we'll wait and see. I'm sure the match, with enough given time, will be awesome and I'm looking also for a interference from Bliss.

Prediction: "The Fiend" wins the Universal Championship

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton
Singles Match for the WWE Championship

Both of them are the best wrestlers on the RAW Brand. From the moment McIntyre won this WWE Championship, he has proven himself to be worthy as a champion and a locker room leader. As of Orton, he's having an amazing heel run as "The Legend Killer" and he's the top heel of the company at this moment, so putting this two together is just brilliant. A few speculations were told, that Orton would go and win the title, probably holding it until WWE can have live audience again, so that Drew can beat him and receive this big pop, which he couldn't had at WrestleMania. Other speculations I heard was that Orton would hold the title until WrestleMania 37 and then drop it to Edge. It's very hard to predict a match like this, because if either man wins, it will be both a shock and believable. My gut says Orton, with the help of Ric Flair (which will be a big swerve), but also having now the "Thunderdome" may tilt the scales in Drew's favor.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre retains the WWE Championship

Haven't written anything here for some time, so let's make an overview of the last PPV, and the overall storylines.

"The Horror Show at Extreme Rules" was the last PPV, which took place on the July 19th.

On the Pre-Show, Kevin Owens defeated Murphy, probably building himself for a future feud with Rollins.

Cesaro and Nakamura defeated in a very entertaining match The New Day, as Cesaro put Kofi through not one, but two tables which were stacked on top of each other. With that Cesaro and Nakamura became the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

Then it came the first of two Women's Championship matches, as Bayley faced-off against Nikki Cross. With a few shenanigans, Bayley was able to retain the title, after Banks was able to slip in her "BOSS" rings, which were used as brass knuckles.

The United States Championship was supposed to be defended next, but with Apollo Crews missing the PPV, probably with doubts for coronavirus, the match was scrapped.

Next, Rollins defeated Mysterio in a very bizarre match, which had the stipulation, that the only way to win the match is to extract an eye of their opponent. The match was great and could have ended with someone having an eye injure, but the thing WWE came with was just awful. They had a fake prosthetic eye, which fall of Mysterio's face. while Rollins was disgusted by the view and puked on the floor.

Next was the best match of the evening, Asuka defending the RAW Women's Championship against Sasha Banks. They had an amazing back and forth match with Banks looking incredible. The finish was a bit off with Asuka having Banks locked into the Asuka Lock. Banks tapped out, but the referee was distracted by Bayley and didn't saw it. Then Asuka went for the Green mist, but accidentally sprayed it into the referee's eyes. While the referee couldn't see anything, Bayley hit Asuka with her title belt, put on the referee shirt, counted the pin and declared Sasha as the new champion. But later, WWE declared on their website that the match is a no contest and that Asuka is still the champion. I really loved the finish, because it reminded me of the old school matches, that WWE had produced in the past. Still I'm very devoted to this storyline between Sasha and Bayley and I love what WWE had created thus far.

Next on the line was the WWE Championship, as Drew McIntyre defended against Dolph Ziggler. The match was under Extreme Rules stipulation, but only for Ziggler. Furthermore, had McIntyre gotten disqualified or counted out, Ziggler would have won the championship. Almost the match felt, as a long-term booked one, but it was only a filler, as in the end after a Claymore Kick, McIntyre retained the WWE Championship.

And as the main event, we had a pre-taped video match, similar to the Undertaker - AJ Styles match which took place at WrestleMania 36. It was big chaos with lots of past references. Alexa Bliss also was included, probably playing the role of Sister Abigail. With the end we saw, Wyatt using the Mandible Claw to drag and drown Strowman in the swamp. Then Wyatt himself got pulled under the muddy water only to re-emerge as The Fiend.

So that's the results of the Extreme Rules PPV. Let's go and check now how the storylines are progressing from the PPV onward.

    WWE Backlash 2020 Results

United States Champion Apollo Crews def. Andrade (1/1)
    Got the first one!

Women’s Tag Team Champions Bayley & Sasha Banks def. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross and The IIconics (2/2)
Glad they retained, it was an ok match. Looking forward for their break-up.

    Sheamus def. Jeff Hardy (3/3)
The feud will continue and I'm almost 100% sure we'll have some type of an Extreme Rules Match.

RAW Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Nia Jax ended in a Double Count-Out (3/4)
Again, the feud will continue, but sad for Asuka, after the departure of Paul Heyman, her push is stopped.

Universal Champion Braun Strowman def. The Miz & John Morrison (4/5)

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre def. Bobby Lashley (5/6)

RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits vs. The Viking Raiders
I'm not gonna count it, because their match didn't actually start.

    Randy Orton def. Edge (6/7)
An excellent match, but sad for Edge, he suffered a triceps injury so he'll be out 6 to 8 months.

It was really a filler PPV, didn't see anything special. No really good storylines. But SummerSlam is coming close, so I hope things will go better.
  7. Thanks

OK, let's do this prediction as quick as possible.

    WWE Backlash 2020 Predictions

    Edge vs. Randy Orton
First we have "The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever", which is a singles match between Edge and Randy Orton. I haven't watched any RAW or SmackDown show in a month, right after the Money in the Bank PPV, so I'll be using lots of logic and no actual storyline. OK, back to the match. Edge and Orton last competed at WrestleMania, where Edge won a Last Man Standing Match. They will probably push this feud for one more PPV, let's say SummerSlam, so basically they must even the score. Edge leads 1-0, so Orton have to win the match to level the score 1-1.
    Prediction: Randy Orton

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley
Next we have the WWE Champion, defending his title against the powerhouse Lashley. But unfortunately for the challenger, Drew is still far from dropping the title, so Lashley is just there to eat a Claymore Kick and the three count.
    Prediction: Drew McIntyre

Universal Champion Braun Strowman vs. The Miz & John Morrison
A 2-on-1 handicap match, similar to the 3-on-1 handicap match, which took place back at Elimination Chamber, where Strowman lost his Intercontinental Championship. Probably Miz and Morrison will try to do the same and use their numbers advantage to hold the monster down. Maybe in their heads this sounds good, but in reality we'll see the Strowman Express, squashing them beneath. I'm eager to see if Wyatt will do something after the match, because definitely, their feud is not over yet.
    Prediction: Braun Strowman

RAW Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Nia Jax
Asuka has just won the title and this is her first title defense. I don't like Nia Jax, she's not a good worker, rather pretty unsafe and I hope she's not getting the title anytime soon.
    Prediction: Asuka

    Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus
No idea what's the storyline in this one. The only thing I know is that Jeff defeated Sheamus in the Intercontinental Championship tournament. A second loss for Sheamus will be a bit tough to handle, so looking for Sheamus to even the score at one a piece.
    Prediction: Sheamus

Women’s Tag Team Champions Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs. The IIconics
It was a little weird to see that Bayley and Sasha took the belts off of Bliss & Cross, because I expected The IIconics to do that. The thing I'm eager the see the most is the blow-up between Sasha and Bayley and I'm thinking, when is the rightest moment to do this. SummerSlam or not, there is no logic to give the titles to Bayley and Sasha and to take them off two weeks later. The thing I'm sure for is that the titles will 100% play later into their break-up.
    Prediction: Bayley & Sasha Banks

United States Champion Apollo Crews vs. Andrade
Andrade has held the title for a big period of time and really, he became boring. Apollo as the new champion is a fresh face and he can deliver pretty good matches. Apollo has just won the title, so giving it back to Andrade is not an option.
    Prediction: Apollo Crews

RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits vs. The Viking Raiders
Well you got me here. I have no idea about this one. In the last month a series of pre-recorded videos were shown on episodes of RAW, showing the two teams, battling in different sports. This is so 50/50.
    Prediction: The Viking Raiders

    Kick-Off Match:
    Jeff Hardy def. Cesaro (1/1)
A decent match, a little longer than expected. Cesaro looked great in defeat, while making Jeff to look great. The next chapter of Hardy's career started with a success. On to The Celtic Warrior.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day def. Lucha House Party, The Miz & John Morrison, The Forgotten Sons (2/2)
It was an OK match, but it was far from what I'm expecting from a tag team bout. Maybe they decided to work a safe match, which worked well enough. The ending was a bit slopish, because it didn't make any sense for the referee to eject Jaxson Ryker from the ringside in a No DQ match.

    Bobby Lashley def. R-Truth
R-Truth vs. MVP did not happen, so I'm not going to count it.

SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley def. Tamina (3/3)
Well build match, as Tamina represented the power and Bayley - the technicality and strategy. Tamina started strong, but Bayley found a way attacking her leg. The story between Bayley and Sasha is so much entertaining for me and I can't wait for all of it to happen. Tamina was able to deliver the Samoan Drop, but Sasha interfered which resulted in Bayley to roll-up Tamina for the 3 count, thus retaining the title.

Universal Champion Braun Strowman def. Bray Wyatt (4/4)
Amazing! In everything Bray is in, matches, promos, he delivers big time. As expected we had "Firefly Fun House" Bray. Some great action from both, I loved the match. Bray behaved pretty crazy throughout the whole match. The ending was pretty interesting too. Braun used some of Bray's mind tricks to be able to beat him. From Bray's point of view, it was like in his childish mind that his old friend is back and for some time, he was happy, but he was betrayed again. After the match, we saw Bray's psychopathic look, signaling that this is not over and that "The Fiend" is about to surface.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre def. Seth Rollins (5/5)
Awesome match. Good back-and-forth action. We had every stop, that a championship match needs, but a very weird handshake after the match between the two. Let's see where this handshake will take us to. PS. I don't like Seth's new theme song.

Asuka won the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match (5/6)

Otis won the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match (5/7)

Both of the Men's and Women's Ladder match was a lot of fun to watch. In the headquarters, there was a lot of funny skits, including Paul Heyman, Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon. The winners for me, didn't make any sense. First for the Women's, why only 3 of them were on the roof. Where were Shayna, Carmella and Dana Brooke, nowhere to be seen. I'm little disappointed that Shayna didn't win this. Even more pointless was the win of Otis, at least it was funny. It's sad that Otis will definitely fail at his attempt to cash in the briefcase, unless he loses it in a match to another superstar.

It was a decent PPV with the most interesting matches for me were the Universal Championship and the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. The choice for winners was a bit strange for me, but let's hope it can work.

WWE Money in the Bank 2020

    Prediction:

SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley vs. Tamina
Singles Match for the SmackDown Women's Championship

The main story around the SmackDown Women's Championship is centered on the friendship of the current champion Bayley and Sasha Banks. We will continue to watch the disintegration of their friendship, until Sasha turns into babyface and challenge Bayley for the title, presumably at SummerSlam. Plus, Tamina pinned Bayley at the go-home show of SmackDown, so there is no chance for Tamina to walk out as champion.

Prediction: Bayley wins and retains the title

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day vs. Lucha House Party
vs. The Miz & John Morrison vs. The Forgotten Sons
Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship

A lot of times the Tag Titles have changed hands in Fatal 4-Way matches, but I think we must take in consideration, that The New Day and Lucha House Party lost a tag match against The Miz & John Morrison & The Forgotten Sons at SmackDown. For me, Lucha House Party have 0% chance of winning the match, as well as The Forgotten Sons, because it's too early to put the titles on them. And really, putting the titles back on Miz & Morrison will do nothing for them, as they just lost them and from this point on you can build their dissension resulting in a match. So I think The New Day are the best choice for now, because of the coronavirus and WWE trying to keep their fans happy and distracted from reality.

    Prediction: The New Day retains

Asuka vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Nia Jax vs.
Dana Brooke vs. Lacey Evans vs. Carmella
Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a Women's Championship Match Contract

So taking in consideration the things happening for both RAW and SmackDown Women's Championships, I think the winner of the match must be from the RAW brand, because as I wrote above, the feud for the SmackDown Women's Championship going forward to SummerSlam will be between Bayley and Sasha, so I don't think any other threat will be added for them, therefore Lacey Evans, Carmella and Dana Brooke drop out as an option to win. Nia Jax doesn't really need the briefcase and Shayna is way more well build, than Asuka and really the briefcase does suit Baszler's character.

Prediction: Baszler wins the ladder match

Daniel Bryan vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Aleister Black
vs. King Corbin vs. Otis vs. AJ Styles
Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a World Championship Match Contract

Here I'm really stumped, because I have no clue who could win the briefcase. From RAW we have - AJ Styles, Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio, as for SmackDown - Daniel Bryan, King Corbin and Otis. People who I can't see winning the briefcase are Otis and Rey Mysterio. Corbin is permanently in the mid-card, WWE once tried and gave him the MITB briefcase, but it was a failure, but I do expect to see someone to throw Corbin off the building. Aleister Black is still new to the roster and he has yet to win a mid-card title before being pushed to the main card. Bryan is good option to win the match as the biggest babyface going in, but the briefcase does suits much better on a heel, so we're left with Styles. After his disastrous pre-WrestleMania run, it's time again for a push.

Prediction: AJ Styles wins the match

Universal Champion Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt
Singles Match for the Universal Championship

At first, I was afraid from this feud, because I didn't see neither of them losing, but sometimes you must watch a bit further to see the truth. As we all see in the promotion picture above, Strowman is not facing "The Fiend", but the "Firefly Fun House" version of Bray Wyatt. So this feud will definitely continue after Money in the Bank, as for this match I think Braun will retain the title resulting in Wyatt going nuts and calling his "friend" for help. Eventually as "The Fiend", Wyatt will defeat Strowman to capture his second Universal Championship.

    Prediction: Strowman retains

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins
Singles Match for the WWE Championship

I hope for this to be a great match. WWE did a great work, building McIntyre to this point, as he delivers great promos and matches as well. Seth is here only to lose, as Drew had just won the title and he will hold it for at least a few more months.

    Prediction: McIntyre retains the title

    Jeff Hardy vs. Cesaro
    Singles Match

A match just put out there to fill up the card. Hardy has just returned from injury and as we saw in the previous weeks, he will start a feud with Sheamus. So this match is just to shake off the ring dust from Hardy with Cesaro as a great sport.

    Prediction: Hardy wins

    R-Truth vs. MVP
    Singles Match

Again just a filler match to fill up the card. There is no storyline going on between this two, so guessing the winner from this is a 50/50. Maybe MVP's associates Shane Thorne & Brendan Vink could help him to pick up the win.

    Prediction: MVP
  10. Thanks

    WWE WrestleMania 36 Results
    Night 2

    Kick-Off:
    Liv Morgan def. Natalya
Both Morgan and Natalya had good chemistry and worked a good kick-off match, as Morgan picked-up the win with a roll-up.

Charlotte Flair def. NXT Women's Champion Rhea Ripley (1/1)
Amazing chemistry, great athleticism from both women, amazingly worked match! Started slow, picked-up the pace. Charlotte started to work on Ripley's leg. The leg continued to be the main target of the match and after great 15-20 minutes of back and forth, Rhea submitted to the Figure-8.

Aleister Black def. Bobby Lashley (2/2)
No hype for this match at all, because it didn't have any story. OK performance, I'm just glad it's out of the way. The seeds for Lashley & Lana's break up were planted.

    Otis def. Dolph Ziggler (3/3)
This match got me all invested in. Great long term booking from February, where this feud started, to all the way here. I'm really happy WWE decided to finish this storyline and turn in into a fairy tale. The match was OK, but the thing that mattered was giving the story a happy ending with Mandy Rose on Otis' hands walking into the sunset.

    Edge def. Randy Orton (4/4)
Very enjoyable match. It's good they gave them so much time to work with. It really looked like, these guys hate each other and tried to destroy one another. Brilliant! The match lived to it's hype. These two created really something special and unique.

Rob Gronkowski def. 24/7 Champion Mojo Rawley

RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits def. Austin Theory & Angel Garza (5/5)
Match, that I don't have any interest in. What happened after the match was more interesting. Theory, Garza and Zelina Vega attacked and assaulted The Street Profits, but Bianca Belair came for the rescue.

SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley def. Lacey Evans, Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina (6/6)
Loved the match. Sasha and Bayley worked for the whole match together and were able to eliminate Tamina and Naomi. With some misunderstanding Bayley kicked Sasha in the head. That led to a confrontation between the two, which allowed Evans to eliminated Sasha. Bayley and Evans had some back and forth, but in the end Bayley retained with the help of her friend, Sasha Banks. Great story told in the ring, really interested to see how WWE are going to build the rivalry between Sasha and Bayley.

"The Fiend" Bray Wyatt def. John Cena (7/7)
Just bizarre! I wish it didn't end so fast. From the start to the finish I couldn't move my eyes away from it. All of this throwbacks to the past - Cena's debut against Kurt Angle; Cena doing rap of his doctor of thuganomics gimmick; their match from WrestleMania XXX, etc. Great work from both. Bray Wyatt is something completely unique!

Drew McIntyre def. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar (8/8)
As expected, very fast match, something like Goldberg - Strowman. A lot of finishers in just 2 minutes. 3 F5s and 4 Claymore Kick were enough to crown a new WWE Champion and that is Drew McIntyre. I think the match was hurt of not being held in front of a live crowd, because it would certainly be longer in duration and the crowd would go nuts after the victory of Drew, plus the fireworks. Still congratulations!

That's it for this year's WrestleMania. For what is was, it has been pretty entertaining. I really appreciate that despite the situation, WWE decided to please us with this two-day spectacle. I really hope that things will get better soon and that the halls will be filled again with fans that these wrestlers deserve.

As for my prediction: in night 1 I got 5 out of 8 matches and as for night 2, I got all 8 of them correctly. So overall from 16 matches, I got 13, which is pretty outstanding. See you again next time, when WWE is on PPV, whenever that is.

    Night 1: 5/8

    Night 2: 8/8

    Overall: 13/16

@bmo Why someone would still be wrestling in this age. Probably for the love of he business or he's doing it for the money? Well it's for the money, money. He is an Attitude Era big attraction, a big name from the past, which people will pay to see and he's a ratings booster as well. In Vince's world if someone is a moneymaker like Goldberg is, he'd rather use him than a new superstar, who is not properly built. Simply put, Goldberg is money and Vince loves money.

About AEW, I'm really just watching WWE, I'm not watching any other wrestling promotion.

It's time for an adventure. An adventure, on the Grandest Stage of Them All. A night, where heroes are created and legends will be born. Welcome to the show, that is too big for just one night, welcome to the showcase of the immortals. Welcome to WrestleMania!

It's time for our prediction of the WrestleMania card. Sixteen matches are announced, as they will take place on the 4th and 5th of April. For the first time ever, WrestleMania is taped, because of the state of emergency, generated by the coronavirus. I've kept myself out of spoilers, so now I'll give you my genuine predictions for the event.

    WWE WrestleMania 36

    Aleister Black vs. Bobby Lashley
    Singles Match

That match came out of the blue, without even a storyline was used for it's build, just these wrestlers put in a one-on-one match. So as we don't have any storyline to work with, I think it's all about, who will benefit more by winning. Bobby Lashley has won a lot championship and had a really great career thus far, so winning will not be beneficial for him in any way. On the other hand we have a wrestler, who was soon called up from NXT and his path must be in an upwards direction. I don't know if Lashley will be there, because he is in quarantine, but nonetheless Lashley or other superstar, Aleister Black will kick their heads off.

    Prediction: Aleister Black

RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits vs. Austin Theory & Angel Garza
Tag Team Match for the RAW Tag Team Championship

Originally, The Street Profits were scheduled to face Andrade & Angel Garza, but after Andrade got injured, he was replaced by NXT's Austin Theory. Both Theory and Garza are just still young and trustless to put the titles on them and carry such responsibility, so I'm very confident about that.

Prediction: The Street Profits retain the RAW Tag Team Championship

Women's Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
Tag Team Match for the Women's Tag Team Championship

The Kabuki Warrior are now champions for 178 days, but the titles were barely defended or promoted on the shows and I think they deserve better, so I think it's time for a change.

Predictions: Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross become the new Women's Tag Team Champions

    Elias vs. King Corbin
    Singles Match

I'm speechless for this one, because this match came out of the blue as well, only that Corbin tried to murder Elias on an episode of SmackDown. Corbin is out of a horrible feud with Reigns, which he lost, so a win here can be very useful, to bring him back some credibility, but also there might be interference on Elias's side by Mojo Rawley and WrestleMania's host Rob Gronkowski. It's really 50/50 for me, so I hope I can guess it right.

    Prediction: King Corbin wins

SmackDown Tag Team Champion John Morrison vs. Jimmy Uso vs. Kofi Kingston
Triple Threat Ladder Match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship

Because of the coronavirus outbreak, John Morrison will have the hard task of defending the SmackDown Tag Team Championship all by himself. All three of the wrestlers that will participate in the match are very athletic and will make a great show. Again all of them can leave with the titles, but I'm going for a retention.

Prediction: John Morrison wins the ladder match to keep the tag titles

Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn vs. Daniel Bryan
Singles Match for the Intercontinental Championship

Zayn has just won the title last month at the Elimination Chamber, so I think it's too soon to drop it. His feud with Bryan could continue, as both of them are very gifted wrestlers and I'm sure they can deliver amazing matches for the next couple of months.

    Prediction: Sami Zayn retains

SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley vs. Lacey Evans vs. Naomi vs. Sasha Banks vs. Tamina
Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match for the SmackDown Women's Championship

I'm really intrigued of the relationship between Sasha and Bayley, because I think they deserve a great storyline between them that will culminate in a match probably later in the year at SummerSlam. They might try to tease a miscommunication, but it won't result into Sasha turning face. Actually any women, besides Tamina can walk out with the title, but I'm putting my bet on Bayley.

    Prediction: Bayley retains

    Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler
    Singles Match

The feud between the two is basically a story of a good looking boy, who always takes the pretty girl and a boy with a low self esteem, who never gets the girl of his dreams. It's time that to be repaired. I also predict that there will interference from Sonya Deville, who will try to help Ziggler, but with the help of Mandy, Otis will pick-up the win and the girl at the end.

    Prediction: Otis

    Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins
    Singles Match

Rollins issued the challenge, but Owens named it to happen at WrestleMania. Rollins told Owens that he chose poorly, because he have a positive record at Manias and at the grandest stage of them all, he turns into a god, while Owens can't beat him even when he's not at his best. Also the story involves around Owens, never receiving his WrestleMania moment, so I think he'll overcome Rollins' toughness and get his big moment. As for Rollins, after Mania I think he'll be starting a feud over the WWE Championship and maybe will defeat Owens in a WrestleMania rematch to become the number 1 contender, so for now.

    Prediction: Kevin Owens defeats Rollins

    Edge vs. Randy Orton
    Last Man Standing Match

This is probably one of the easier matches to predict on the card. Edge just returned from 9 years of retirement and started feuding with Orton, as the feud turned personal pretty quickly. Orton vowed to end this fairy tale for Edge and put him back into retirement, but as we know Edge has signed a multiyear contract with WWE, so this ain't happening.

    Prediction: Edge

    The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles
    Boneyard Match

As the rivalry was turned personal by Styles, Undertaker will have to defend his and his wife's proud. Styles can very easy recover from a defeat, so while Taker plays in his backyard, he will have the advantage.

    Prediction: The Undertaker

John Cena vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt
    Firefly Fun House Match

After "The Fiend" lost to Goldberg back at SuperShowdown, he lost a lot of his credibility. Also, prior of his challenge to Cena, Cena said that a WrestleMania spot should be earned and not granted to a part-timers. As this is advertised as a WrestleMania XXX rematch, I really think that Cena must take a step back and give the rub to a full-timer, who will benefit from it. A win for Cena won't accomplish anything, but a loss for Wyatt will result in a burial of his character. This is not a prediction, but a result I'd like to see.

    Prediction: "The Fiend" beats Cena

RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler
Singles Match for the RAW Women's Championship

Shayna has been build fiercely - 1st by beating Becky and Bayley at Survivor Series, 2nd by finishing as a runner-up at the Royal Rumble match, and most of all by eliminating all of her opponents at the Elimination Chamber match. If she loses now, all of this push will be thrown away into a garbage can, therefore this should not be allowed.

Prediction: Shayna Baszler defeats Becky to capture the RAW Women's Championship

NXT Women's Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair
Singles Match for the NXT Women's Championship

This will be the first time ever that a NXT Championship is defended at WrestleMania. Rhea does have a win over Charlotte, so I don't think they'll go 2-0 for Rhea. I think she'll drop the title now and will go to the main roster, as for Charlotte, she will use the title to boost up the NXT ratings and have some good feuds with the women of NXT, eventually dropping the title to one of them.

Prediction: Charlotte wins the NXT Women's Championship

Universal Champion Goldberg vs. Braun Strowman
Singles Match for the Universal Championship

Initially, Roman Reigns was scheduled to face Goldberg, but after he requested to be removed from the match, because of the coronavirus outbreak, WWE had him replaced with Strowman. I think Reigns was going to defeat Goldberg and win the Universal Championship, but now I don't see Strowman walking out as champion. I think Goldberg will retain and as WWE will take a break after Mania, Goldberg won't be required to defend the title. He will hold it, until WWE can do again live crowd shows and then do the Spear vs. Spear match - Goldberg vs. Reigns.

Prediction: Goldberg retains the Universal Championship

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre
Singles Match for the WWE Championship

The storyline for this match is that in the past everyone saw that McIntyre had potential, but not being able to materialize it, really affected his passion, which let to low self esteem, because so far he hasn't won any World Championships in WWE. Will McIntyre finally fulfill his potential by defeating The Beast and becoming the new WWE Champion, or he'll fall short, becoming The Beast's next victim. This match must really go in McIntyre's favor, unless WWE decides to postpone his coronation and do it in front of a live crowd, but I'm not going to risk that much.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre fulfills his potential, beats Lesnar and becomes the new WWE Champion

Well, that's my prediction for the showcase of the immortals. Let's enjoy this WrestleMania, as we hope we never get to see another empty arena one!

That was an amazing match. I loved it. I was waiting to watch a match like this. Amazing come back from Italy after that disastrous 3rd Set - 9-25. At the 4th Set USA though that the match is theirs with the results 22-19, but Zaytsev wasn't at that opinion. From 22-22, Zaytsev scored 3 aces. Just amazing match. So hyped. Good work Italy, good work.
