  1. I think I could devise a whole Spotify playlist of songs that GBR could enter with in order to get my twelve points
  2. I forgot the vica versa effect when you sometimes get high points from countries that don't usually produce songs that you enjoy and then you start thinking why don't they pick something closer to what they themselves are voting for
  3. How could I ever hate New Zealand I still remember that New Zealand presentation I made two years ago. As long as you have the Kiwi bird, your music will never be the worst Also, after all of the TISC events that we've had, I can already deduce whom I can expect points from when picking a song of a certain style. Also, throughout the years, I think that I became VERY easy to read for the picks that I'm going for. Although, one of the weirdest and unexplanable things during these TISC contests is that there are some countries, for example, that nearly always get points from me, they pick cool music. Then you'd think that your musical radar is on the same level, but yet your songs never get points from them and then you're left in a wheel of misunderstandment and unknowingness.
  4. I like the "Smelly Cat" video and the Grandma song was lovely as well.
  5. Honestly can't believe I got it, but up top brotha, I think I couldn't get past 30-45 seconds of that even being a music enthusiast
  6. Christmas Time In Hell is my favourite Christmas song in Southpark. Though it's a fairly unpopular opinion
  7. Was it the all meat eaters must die one from Slovenia if I remember correctly?
  8. I ADORE SOUTHPARK. Haven't missed an episode, know some of the lyrics of their songs by heart (can sing "Let's Fighting Love" on the spot ) and a lot of references. My all time faves would probably include Crab People and the Garden Of Betrayal.
  9. There were a few 1 star songs for me this year, I wouldn't really want to go back to them in order to pick the worst one
  10. Oh yes, just like I'm ashamed that I enjoy "Love Galore" by SZA, which lyrically, is a song that goes against everything that I stand for in music, but has a very enchanting chorus melody Edit: I also like the style behind the instrumental.
  11. Truth be told, my age also fits in the category I described. It's just that younger people with a fine taste in music is a minority nowadays Although, every single style has good and bad artists. For example, I was never much of a fan of electronic music, but there are some really good jams out there.
  12. Or Spotify genre playlists in general Acoustic Folk music playlist? Where do I sign up?
  13. THIS IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE SONGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even right now...
  14. You see, I'm not talking about a single song, I'm talking about a whole culture, that is making the music cheaper and giving all sorts of wrong people attention plus monetisation from spreading really bad morals to society.
  15. Eh, at least your country has a top. I'm stuck with Billboard 100 and UK charts at best.
  16. Acquiring my taste of music from 1 song that I entered in this competition is beyond ridiculous. Plus the song that I entered with, is not something that I usually listen myself, so this comment has really backfired on you.
  17. I think that the music is amazing, it's mostly the mainstream that sucks, which is why I blame the younger generation, cause it's they who are listening to it and making all of these douchebags famous. Which is why I'm happy that people like Adele or Ed Sheeran appear to blow the trash away once in a while. Right now I'm cheering for Portugal The Man - Feel It Still on Billboard
  18. I'm sorry, but you'll never prove to me that this is quality music: [Chorus] Gucci gang, Gucci gang, Gucci gang, Gucci gang (Gucci gang) Gucci gang, Gucci gang, Gucci gang (Gucci gang) Ah yes, very promising lyrics indeed. I got 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 M's in my bank account, yeah (On God) In my bank account, yeah (On God) In my bank account, yeah (On God) In my bank account, yeah (On God) In my bank account, yeah (On God) In my bank account, yeah (On God) As well as songs like Rockstar, Bodak Yellow and others of this genre. As a song-writer and lyricist, this fucking effortless shit is insulting. Edit: I also remembered the "mumble rappers" where you don't understand a single word they say/sing and yet are still famous af.
  19. In my honest opinion, I do not think that 2010's is a musical disaster. There is a lot of wonderful music out there. The major difference is the change of mentality and generations. Basically, the good music rarely gets to the top of the charts/gets recognition that it deserves. So we are mostly flooded by what the 12-24 y.o. listens, a lot of that hip-hop garbbage where they don't even rhyme, don't even sing, their lyrics are always about the next bang, money, ethnicity and don't forget to repeat the N word throughout the song for 70 times as well and you have yourself a Billboard 100 top 1 hit. Another thing is that rock songs never break through into the mainstream charts and that pretty much goes for many genres like folk, alternative, jazz etc. They're filled with beautiful girls/boys singing pop and of course the edgy hip-hop songs. Well, before I write a 1000 word essay, I'll just get to the point. The music is still good, but you have to put more effort into finding it, because the millenials have poor taste.
  20. Ooh, it appears that our young 19yo talent Olivija Baleišytė just snagged a bronze in a world cup scratch race.
  21. I spent a good 30 minutes trying to locate your post, but I couldn't find it.
  22. I know it's fun and all, but perhaps let's not start and end the music festival in a single day?
  23. I already feel guilty that I have listened to K-Pop once, you don't need to make it worse
