  1. Firstly, I'd agree that potentially this could be Ireland's greatest OG, particularly as they are less dependent on boxing to achieve success this time around. Hopefully you're right about the men's pommel. We don't want a repeat of the EC for either gymnast! I don't disagree on your other GB choices and there are others. For instance, in the women's Madison Kenny and Archibald will be closely marked like the Dutch but both pairs are so good it seems a decent bet that they'll pick up two of the medals between them.
  2. In no particular order: Men's Eight (Rowing), Women's Team Pursuit (Cycling) and Adam Peaty - 100m breaststroke (Swimming). Ten others who I'm confident will medal, again in no particular order: Dina Asher-Smith 200m (Athletics), Pat McCormack - Welterweight (Boxing), Lauren Price - Middleweight (Boxing), Liam Heath - K1 200m (Canoeing), Helen Glover & Polly Swann - Women's pair (Rowing), Giles Scott - Finn class (Sailing), Men's 4x100m medley (Swimming), Jade Jones - 57kg (Taekwondo), Georgia Taylor-Brown (or either of her teammates) (Triathlon), Mixed relay (Triathlon).
  3. The figure of 58 cannot be right as their athletics squad alone is larger than this.
  4. Benolympique, no final figures apart from athletics where they have announced a squad of 61 which is a vast increase on the numbers you have for Jamaica at the moment.
  5. Benolympique this was the last info I had.
  6. What really frustrates me Benolympique is having to read about self-serving politicians and administrators on the NOC websites or local media, while they largely ignore information about their country's athletes. I never want to see another story about some dubious President modestly telling athletes about how they owe everything to his glorious leadership before handing them a flag.
  7. 16 https://24.kg/english/199839_Aiaal_Lazarev_secures_berth_at_Olympic_Games_in_Tokyo/ Athletics - 2 (-2) Fencing - 1 Judo - 1 Shooting - 1 (+1) Swimming - 1 Weightlifting - 1 Wrestling - 9 (+1) Benolympique this NOC's website is beyond useless. The only thing I've been able to find is a news agency report from the country. This refers to 17 berths but I'm certain that they are counting the fact that their swimmer has qualified for two events as separate "berths". I think we can be pretty sure their number of athletes is 16 which is how many they actually name.
  8. 66 (including reserves?) https://colimdo.org/titulares/presidente-abinader-entrego-la-bandera-delegacion-jjoo-tokio/ The NOC has confirmed the total number of athletes but I can't find a breakdown for the number of individuals competing in each of the ten sports in which they have qualified.
  9. Rugby 7s - All players born in the island of Ireland play for Ireland as they have done in the 15 man game since the nineteenth century. Hockey - Players from Northern Ireland can choose who they compete for but if they choose to play for GB they have to play their international rugby for England, Scotland or Wales outside the Olympics. It's complicated. I shouldn't worry about it if Inwere you.
  10. 211 (Doesn't include any reserves) I've gone through the list of athletes and the only sports in which there are changes to the figures you already have are below. Athletics - 13 (+9) Badminton - 0 (-1) Diving - 1 (-1) Judo - 0 (-1) Sailing - 10 (-1) Swimming - 7 (+4)
  11. I wonder what difference the lack of crowds will make to Japan's home advantage. I'm slightly less bullish on them than I was
  12. 35 https://www.newsofbahrain.com/sports/73768.html https://www.newsofbahrain.com/sports/73872.html Athletics - 17 (+11) Boxing - 1 Handball - 14 Shooting - 1 Swimming - 2 (+2)
  13. Benolympique I haven't found any announcement on the size of 's delegation yet but they have confirmed the size of their athletics squad which will form the bulk of it and you may want to update your figures. https://www.jamaicaobserver.com/sports/powerful-women-head-61-strong-olympic-team_225183 http://www.trackandfieldjm.com/news/items/latest-news/item/586-jaaa-names-teams-to-the-2020-olympic-games-nacac-u18-u23-champs

  16. How could they have got into the ground? Doesn't make sense.
  17. What else do you expect from footballers. It's pathetic, it's embarrassing but they'll continue to dive, roll around in agony and then make amazing recoveries within seconds as long as the game is played, I'm afraid.

  19. I've been trying to get the figures for NZ. I think they will have "211" athletes but they are still releasing details of their selections so it maybe a day or two before we have the info you need.
