It also features reviews from previous Olympics Games and every countries best chance of winning a medal in my opinion. Still to come is analysis when draws come out as well as day-by-day previews. I’m still slightly baffled by the qualification for kayak cross. Is it per spot in C1 and K1 the nation can pick an alternative competition in KX or do they have to use the same competitor?

Richardson over Akbar again is bonkers to me. Not sure Stubley deserved the shot over Resztan. Broadhurst ultimately deserves it, I’d say Shona Whitwell was second choice but Broadhurst should win a medal, you wouldn’t say that of the others

It should have been clear after the last Olympics that this was likely for the British team, especially the men. The top tier talents all went pro

Well the team will be stronger at the Olympics than the World Championships. Theoretically anyway. I imagine Curry, LeBron, KD, Kawai, George, Lillard are in the squad.

I think the USA could really struggle here but it’s almost impossible to predict who will beat them. If they didn’t have Embiid I would confidently pick against them. But he changes things to some extent. I just question where the defence and athleticism is coming from. It feels like the best team is not necessarily involving the big names but will they be given the minutes on reputation?

Becomes even more of a puzzle with Gianni because surely he has to go. Him, Jake and Whitlock all are potential individual medalists. Around them Hepworth, Tulloch, Fraser and Hall potentially battling for two spots
