  1. 1 more medal in Racquetball for independent athletes () in Women's Team. That makes 7 total for (Guatemala) We would have reached our 100th medal in the historic but... I think the are about 5 more good chances for medals in Shooting (Women Trap), Modern Pentathlon Women Team, Skating (women), Sailing and Athletics (women walk), maybe Karate and Squash.
  2. You can say the name, here the IOC will not ban you! hahaha
  3. Rodriguez/Martínez Women's Double Racquetball are Gold!!! First gold for independent athletes!!! ()
  4. Andrés Fernandez () Modern Pentatlhon, qualifies for Paris 2024 Kevin Cordón () Badminton, qualifies to semifinals and has earned his 5th individual medal in Badminton 2 golds, 1 silver, 1 bronze and ??? in 5 Panamerican games. Doubles Women Racquetball () wins semifinal and will play tomorrow against for gold
  5. Bolivia gold and silver in Racquetball Singles Men as the two athletes defeated both Mexicans at Semifinals. Only 2nd gold medal for Bolivia in Pan American Games. Congrats!
  6. Sophia Hernandez () qualifies for Paris 2024 in Modern Pentatlhon Women after winning bronze! First time for a Guatemalan woman to win in this event. Another medal secured for () in Doubles Men Badminton, second time Guatemala wins a medal in this event.
  7. Well, our athletes without a flag () secured 2 bronze medals in Racquetball, men and women doubles! Too bad none of the medals win in Santiago 2023 will count for Guatemala's medal tally, we would have achieve our 100th medal in this games, will have to wait until Barranquilla 2027
  8. French Guiana and Sint Marteen did not participated after all. Hopefully next time they will.
  9. Guatemala got away with one gold in Badminton, after 5 finals. This new generation is doing great, hopefully the team will mature into more in a couple years. Third best performance of Guatemalan athletes at the Games, broke the record of most silver medals which was 25 set in 1950. With all the difficulties and low moral because of the suspension. Will see if with what happened here the COG will resolve the current situation so Guatemala can be present at Paris 2024. See you in Santo Domingo 2026 for the Centennial of the Games!
  10. Guatemala took away a gold from Colombia in Speed Skating with Faberson Bonilla! Colombia will not sweep this sport.
  11. Glad to see Belize participating in Canoe Sprint competitions, is not only athletics or cycling anymore.
  12. There was an explanation on a Guatemala newspaper yesterday. At the beginning there were 6 registerd athletes for the women's event and 5 for men's event, when competition started only 4 showed up for each event, and even though it runned, they were later dismissed as part of the official tally. I also noticed that they did not cancelled the 4x400m mixed relay even though only had 4 entries.
  13. Guatemala has confirmed 7 medals in Badminton, with 2 secured finals since Mixed Doubles and Men Doubles semifinals will Guatemalans facing each other. Congrats to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for its first ever gold medal at Central American and Caribbean Games! Men 800m with Handal Roban, and adding a bronze in the same day in Women 800m Shafiqua Maloney
  14. Haiti joins the medal table, by being in semifinals for TKD Women +67kgs.
  15. I noticed that too, Mexico and Guatemala won those events. I wonder what happened, they had at least 5 nations competing, which is the minimum to be an official event. 4x400m relax mixed in Athletics only had 4 nations and is counting in the medal table.
  16. Panama with their 5th gold today equals its last best performance which was in Panama City 1970!
  17. Guatemala to the Mixed Team final in Badminton! With no Kevin Cordon this time, he is an all time gold medalist winner for Guatemala in CA and Caribbean Games with 8 golds.
  18. 1 gold, 1 silver 1 bronze for at the beginning of Athletics, not bad. But that might be all for Guatemala in Athletics.
  19. I would have thought that El Salvador would be doing a little better than 9 medals total at this point. with the advantage to have athletes in almost all sports and being local, at least 20 bronce and silver. Maybe this second week they will do better, with sailing, athletics, karate, TKD, archery and badminton. That gold medal in Double Bowling men was for , the mexicans at last minute claim it, sooo close. I think will end with only 12 or so gold medals, about half from last edition, a change in the athletes generation, very young people, doing good so far.
  20. Ana Martinez ended with 3 silver and is going tomorrow for another medal with Team competition. She has beaten Longoria a couple times, but the mexican still the best in the world.
  21. Seems like Aruba took the gold in Women Individual Bowling, with Guatemala and Puerto Rico following.
  22. Ana Martinez is playing Racketball finals today, I hope she wins at least 1 gold, her best chance is Women Doubles, and hoping for Individual gold.
  23. Well, just this morning ESA and PAN just won 2 gold medals each in surfing!! CRC picked up a silve and a bronze.
