With Patris Murghalzai bowing out of the competition this evening I thought it was worth doing a trawl to see if there was any update on Reese Lynch. For those not aware, it turns out that Lynch was competing at the European Games with a possible rib stress fracture in his back. About a month after the games, the rib broke. This was followed by a further rib break about a month or so later - apparently occurring whilst helping his mum bring her shopping in from the car. All of this means that Lynch hasn't fought competitively since the European Games. As of the end of January, Lynch has been cleared to shadow box and is hoping to be in the frame for selection for the final Olympic qualifying tournament in Bangkok at the end of May.

Probably last for the tournament - with the streaming starting tomorrow not sure my unofficial results service will be needed
