  3. Ryan Murphy 1:56.44 to take the win in the 200m Backstroke. Comfortably under the Olympic Qualification Time.
  4. Summer McIntosh 1:54.13 to take the win in the 200m Freestyle McIntosh moves to #8 all-time, and sets a new Canadian record in the process, eclipsing Taylor Ruck’s time 1:54.44 from 2018.   18. Ahmed Hafnaoui 3:46.02 to take the win in the 400 Free Marwan El Kamash (3:47.34) wins the silver medal, while Kieran Smith (3:48.02) takes the bronze medal.
  19. Kharun 1:54.49 to take the win in the 200 Fly a new Canadian record by 1.68s previously held by MacKenzie Darragh (1:46.27. Record held since 2018 Pan-Pacific Swimming Championships) Trenton Julian (1:55.70) wins the silver medal, while Chase Kalisz (1:56.03) takes the bronze medal.

Summer McIntosh 2:05.05 to take the win in the 200m Fly New PB by 0.15s, besting her time from the 2022 World Aquatic Championships where she won the gold medal Summer moves from #12 > #11 all-time in the 200m butterfly. Canadian Swim Trials are happening later this month, and she’s looking to be in fine form. Bella Sims (2:09.89) wins the silver medal, while Maria Jose Mata Cocco (2:11.00) takes the bronze medal.

TYR Pro Swim Series- Fort Lauderdale, Florida (50m) | March 1-4, 2023 Summer McIntosh dominating yet again as she drops a 2:08.24 200m fly, qualifying in first by almost four seconds McIntosh didn’t look tired at all. She also swam a 54.39 100m Free earlier on in the session. Absolutely incredible to see how quickly Summer is progressing. Event is being streamed live on USA Swimming’s YouTube channel.   24. 1 - Canada got relegated to the B division in both men’s/women’s competition, as one of the bottom four finishers. A shock mainly for the men’s side, considering we won bronze in 2022. 2 - Canada’s women’s team came through the B division to qualify for this event.
