  1. There is only one answer - nothing
  2. In case someone needs an update on pronouncing biathlon names. All non-Slavs should be thankful Stvrtecky's first name isn't Grzegorz or you'd all be screwed twice
  3. Been watching this for 30 years. Germany are ALWAYS in the bobsleigh mix so nothing will look different in four years time
  4. Luge & bobsleigh is heavily dependant on facilities and the only reason Germany doesn't dominate skeleton is the fact their athletes also start late just like most of the other nations involved. And those skeletonists aren't even third-rate lugers who switched events for better results, Grotheer & Jungk are failed ski jumpers of all things. If one day Germany decides to breed designed skeletonists since age 6-7 then it will be all over just like it's the case with luge & bobsleigh.
  5. Yeah, former ski jumpers finished 1-2 in WOG. Skeleton is really a low-hanging fruit compared to some of the other winter sports.
  6. Tretiakov misses out! Medal for Yan!
  7. Was he drafted by NHL club already? Even Polish TV said he was the best Slovakian player thus far so I presume he will make more noise internationally really soon
  8. So, aka the American who wasn't good enough to compete for them actually beat both & here in Beijing?
  9. Yeah, it's obviously the right attitude especially in an event she wasn't a favorite to medal. I just hope she doesn't have one crash too many one day.
  10. Yes, obviously. I believe this (Final B winner getting a medal) happened once with one of the relays few years ago but can't be sure.
  11. Yes, Desmet winning a medal is the best result
  12. Santos & Fontana down! Schulting wins gold, Choi silver and Desmet bronze!
  13. No DSQ but advanced into the final. So it will be five teams in the final.
  14. It was a tangle with the Canadian after all. Uh-oh. I have a bad feeling about this
  15. down! It looked like he clipped his teammate but you never know.
  16. Five different nations in women's 1,000 final:
  17. I'm shocked doesn't try some speed skating. I bet they still have some Dutch DNA natives living there which could train in the old country
  18. Polish coach Tadeusz Bafia who works in Canada for over 20 years said this medal is like South Africa winning one in ice hockey. Something tells me South Africa really has a bad reputation in winter sports
  19. Sanfilippo with the worst shooting in the field 5/10 but nobody had a huge meltdown. Vittozzi 4 + 0 was kinda her usual nonsense.
  20. After 5,000 someone here said Ghiotto flops at the big events?
  22. Air time for Kinga Zbylut but only because she dropped her pole
  23. That should be the podium - Olsbu, E. Oeberg & Wierer.
  24. 24 seconds behind Olsbu? The answer is NO
