After a long delibration inside the Danish jury and a historical close result between two songs, the Danish selection for TAISC 2023 has been found. For the second time in TISC-history, the Danish indie-band, Blaue Blume, will have the honor to represent Denmark in TISC. The Danish trio have been relatively quiet in the last couple of years, but in 2022 they released a new single, "Country", which has already caught the attention of many radio stations and has gained attention among many listeners. Singer and frontman of Blaue Blume, Jonas Smith, has explained the meaning behind, "Country": »Hopefully everyone can relate to the idea of wanting to pull the plug, after a night out on the town, for instance. Having an urge to leave and finding it hard to relax in an apartment on the 3rd floor. In that way, our new song certainly flirts with the romantic idea of a life on the countryside, but beneath the surface, ‘Country’ is about finding that space within yourself first and foremost. That “country” is where you are as a person right now.
