I am confused about how the qualifying works for the non-qualified nations (so the top-12 individual athletes). Wikipedia keeps a ranking of them since IBU themselves doesn't, and usually on Wiki these things are quite correct. However, things have been moving around so weirdly in the past few weeks. Like Gaia Brunello and Darcie Morton have been moving in and out of the top-12 with Gaia's points remaining the same, but Darcie's points going from 90 something to 120 something and back....and now she is in again and Gaia is out again. So apparently one can actually also lose points? -

Here's a comparison relative to 2024 (I removed the new team sports to make it more comparable). This ignores Belarus and Russia. Largest Increases Relative to 2024 1. +58 2. +44 3. +31 4. +29 4. +29 6. +28 7. +27 8. +24 9. +22 10. +21 10. +21 Unsurprisingly, the United States is expected to see the largest increase thanks to host quotas. It's not as massive as previous host nations, but that's because they don't need host quotas for most sports. South Africa is looking at a big increase, but only if they accept the water polo quotas this time around. Largest Decreases Relative to 2024 1. -135 2. -43 3. -38 4. -33 5. -31 6. -29 7. -28 8. -26 8. -26 10. -23 10. -23 Again, no surprise to see France topping the list as they no longer benefit from host quotas. Ireland takes heavy losses not only by losing two large team events, but is generally down in most sports. Interestingly, Italy has the same number of large team events, but it's the drop in athletics and rowing which caused it to be so high up in the list. -

beats 30-27, will be in risk of elimination from group stage if the lost against on Monday's game beats 32-29, I didn't see the game and I am wondering if just played soft or is a new strong team -

Thanks to everyone who voted for , and especially to @OlympicIRL for another win and for putting in the effort to organize this edition! Unfortunately, I’ve been really busy these days attending online events about archaeology and museums. Hopefully, I’ll find time to participate next time.
