so, the penultimate round of the Regular Season is over

 

and now we already know 11 of the 16 teams that will play the Knockout Stage

 

3 of the qualified teams come from both :FIN and :SWE, 2 from :GER and 1 each from :AUT:CZE:SUI 

these teams are:

 

1. :SWE Växjö Lakers
2. :GER Adler Mannheim
3. :FIN Lukko Rauma
4. :FIN Ilves Tampere
5. :SWE Färjestad Karlstad
6. :SUI Genève-Servette
7. :GER Red Bull Munich
8. :CZE Dynamo Pardubice
9. :SWE Skellefteå AIK
10. :GER ERC Ingolstadt
11. :AUT HC Innsbruck

 

the 6th and last round is scheduled for next Tuesday and Wednesday and will decide the remaining 5 teams qualified to the Knockout Stage

      That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics on the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.
