They're back  After a dominant 2022 season for this team (With their only real "blip" if you can even call it that, being silver at the 3X3 World Cup) I'm really hoping we can win gold this time around  But it certainly won't come easy, as you'll most likely have to defeat reigning World Cup champions France, and of course you also have the likes of Australia, Germany, China, Spain, United States, etc. who could also challenge for the podium.

Czech Republic defeats Canada  20-18 in OT, for the first match of the World Cup. Galíčková, lead all scorers with 9pts and made the game-winning shot.  A terrible performance for Canada, with uncharacteristic missed layups by all four of them (Crozon, Bosch, Plouffe, Plouffe).

Canada  respond from their shock defeat to Czech Republic earlier today, defeating United States  16-13. By the way, United States was up 7-1 early in that match, but after that, it all went downhill for them. Overall though a pretty ugly effort by both teams IMO. M. Plouffe led all scorers with 8 points.

After two great wins against Mongolia  (21-9), and Hungary  (21-11), and a 21-8 United States  victory over Czech Republic  (Who looked like they were going to cruise to the QFs after starting 3-0) made three teams (United States, Canada, and Czech Republic) go into a three-way tie at 3-1, with Canada  advancing to the quarterfinals through total points scored.
