Ankita Bhakat gets an individual quota in Archery .
Our first quota in women’s archery. It might get reallocated if we get the team quota from rankings as expected.

Bhajan Kaur also qualifies for QF , but since it is 1 quota / NoC so we get 1 quota & the other one will be reallocated through world rankings to some other NoC.

So I believe men's team has virtually qualified.

The women's team and :INA are in the next qualifying spots

The current standings are

1 - :IND 185 pts

2 - :INA 179.5 pts

3 - :COL 152 pts

4 - :ITA 150 pts

5 - :ESP 139 pts

6 - :VIE 139 pts

7 - :BRA 137.5 pts

For the women's team not to qualify, the following must happen
1 - :IND shouldn't finish in top 4 so they don't add any points
2 - :INA to finish minimum 4th. If they finish 4th they add 12 points and then overtake India

3 - :COL to finish minimum 2nd. If they finish 2nd they add 34 points and then overtake India

4 - Either of :ITA:VIE:BRA to win World Cup. If this happens :ITA adds 44 pts, :VIE adds 52 pts, :BRA adds 54.5 pts and then overtake India

5 - :ESP to win World Cup. If they win they add 46 points and then tie with India

So the safest way to qualify, is for the women's team to minimum reach the semis

With this quota place our Paris Olympics contingent size officially hits 100 athletes mark.  100 in 15 sports.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
