I guess it’s the same as drug testing: the more often you compete the more likely you are to be tested & retested. If you just parachute in at the majors & disappear again it’s going to look fishy.
I think she means that classification was done by Chinese officials.
Daily training on site unlike others who have never been there before is a strong advantage, but anyway, it is clear they have put a lot of effort and resources to succeed at these games, just hope it will not be a one event episode like I was worrying about their men ice hockey "project"
China win a lot at the Summer Games so you would expect they would want to continue winning a lot in 2026 and onwards.
Congrats to them, just Lets hope everything is fair though
This is the suspicion sadly. Through they wasn’t really any evidence in the able bodied games of suspicious Chinese results when Russia doped both games in 2014.
Any legal challenges will likely be heard in German courts, not CAS. IPC is based in Bonn, Germany, thus any legal matters related to the IPC tend to go through German courts (at least that’s the standard procedure, but these are non-standard times of course).
Not sure about that. They are other sporting bodies not based in Switzerland who CAS have dealt with. Also CAS heard Russia’s appeal in 2016 when they were banned.
Totalsilence from GB Paralympics since their statement. Sounds like a boycott will be announced tomorrow. If 20+ nations withdraw the IPC would surely have to at least attempt a u turn or face a games with only China, Russia, Belarus and few others competing.
I suspect the games might be cancelled. The IPC seems to be stuck in a position where jt can’t legally ban Russia so I wonder if they will have to pull the plug if most of other countries withdraw.
Will they compete against Russia through. Andrew Parsons has said he thinks and understands that some countries might withdraw if Russia is not banned but he doesn’t sound confident on being able to legally expel Russia.

More calls to ban Russia and Belarus. Ukraine have nit yet withdrawn but i suspect they will if Russia and Belarus are not excluded. The IPC believe they cannot legally expel Russia or Belarus.
Going to be close to see if makes the target of 100 medals or not. If if they do it’s still a massive drop from Rio and the presence of RPC won’t count for them.
On Channel 4 they have predicted that the medal total for will be broadly the same as Rio in terms of Atheltics but maybe a bigger drop for swimming. In terms of the total medal table there is chance of top 5 for

Do you we know what her condition is. For her classification to change it must be something degenerative.
