ExpandNo doubt. Fortunately for her the individual sprint in Beijing is freestyle this time around, so that's her best bet for a medal. And it we saw what happened in PyeongChang against an ultra fast Swede in a freestyle sprint!
The Sprint at the Olympics will be really tough, this could be an advantage for Diggins and her Distance skills.
ExpandFrench sprinters still doing great. Hopefully they can keep it that way until Beijing.
They will leave the Tour after Lenzerheide. For me incomprehensible why you do not take Oberstdorf and thus lose important points in the Sprint World Cup. Before the Olympics, there is only one more sprint in Les Rousses.
Finnish Women will also Not race if there will be a Race.
No Norwegian victory after 4 races so far
Adjusted Competition Schedule for Lillehammer:
ExpandDue to critical snow conditions, the choice of courses and - as a consequence - also the competition
schedule for the FIS Cross-Country events on Saturday, 4th December 2021 had to be adapted. The event preparation group by FIS, the Norwegian Ski Federation (NSF) and the organizing committee evaluated options and accepted the proposal from the NSF to schedule the following competitions instead of the previously planned Skiathlon:
Saturday, 4th December 2021
10am CET 10km F Interval Start Women
12pm CET 15km F Interval Start Men
The courses will set out and return from the Biathlon venue, located next to the Birkebeineren Ski Stadium.

According to a German cross-country portal, there is a lack of snow in Lillehammer and the cross-country competitions will probably be moved to the biathlon stadium, where trails are already prepared. A decision should be made shortly where and whether the World Cup will take place.
Cross-Country Skiing courses will be the hardest in history. The men's 50km race, for example, has a total ascent of 2039 meters. The maximum allowed is 2100 meters, plus the altitude of about 1600 meters.
ExpandThis wouldn't have happened in interval race.
Ahem, FIS.
Then the men’s from Africa will still not have finished ...
Klaebo DSQ
FIS Jury in Progress ...
Bolshunov should know that he has no change against Klaebo.
Suprising Bronze for France
Norway have a big problem.
Great job for Parmkoski. For the US are there Championships a big disaster.
Sweden will have more than 1 minute at the exchange

ExpandMeh. Vermeulen stapped on Brugger's ski binding, Brugger lost his ski in the middle of the 3rd leg, leaving them with no chance. Fucked up home WCh for German CC team so far.
Such a bad performance ... it was very easy in this heat to qualify for the final. Ladies are in the final, but I think no real medal chance.
Men also racing on the very easy 1.2k course, as the women. So you could put two sprinters in, as the Norwegians does.
France in women’s final and italy Not, a Little bit a surprised.
ExpandTeam sprint qualifying is different than in the World Cup

Top-4 from both heats plus the two fastest losers. That's way better than the World Cup format.
This rule is only due to the war, weather. Because the second semi final could have a much slower course.
„Sunday schedule ? @oberstdorf2021
❗Since the course conditions from Semi Final 1 to Semi Final 2 can change a lot with the current snow, the qualification rules have been adapted under agreement with teams, Cross-Country and Rules & Control committee that top-4 teams from each Semi Final will be qualified plus 2 by the time. „
