FIS is in real trouble now … I think there will be some positive tests in the next days. Against Goolberg …
Neprayeva out because of a stupid mistake
ExpandSeriously.. 3 minutes is too long for a sprint
3 minutes is quite normal.
Bolshunov will miss the Sprint
ExpandThe Fossesholm "next best thing" is 25 seconds behind Izabela Marcisz

Norway have a big problem in the relay
ExpandThat still doesn't explain how they couldn't find a fourth
Sure, Heidi Weng was probably the fourth one before the test, but they have other people too.
The other athletes are Falla, Myhrvold, Lotta Weng and Tiril Weng, so no one who is a potential starter for the skiathlon. They are mostly sprinters and have their main event on Tuesday.
ExpandWait, what? Norway will go with three women and that's it?!
Surely this list must be something different
What about Falla? Positive Weng? Non-positive Weng? Other non-positive Weng? Myhrvold?
Edit: Or is it the Norwegian team for the skiathlons?
This is the team for the Skiathlon, sorry.
Helene Marie Fossesholm
Ranghild Haga
Therese Johaug
Paal Golberg
Hans Christer Holund
Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo
Sjur Roethe
One women‘s quota will not be used.
Skiathlon Team:
Coralie Bentz
Delphine Claudel
Hugo Lapalus
Jules Lapierre
Maurice Manificat
Clement Parisse
The Norwegian men's cross-country skiers are all in quarantine after the head coach tested positive and the athletes are all considered close contacts. The departure to Beijing must be postponed to at least 31.01.
That Sprint course Team Sprint will be brutal

World Cup Planica cancelled due to Covid-19.
So no more World Cup planned before the Olympics at the moment.
ExpandCalle Halfvarsson and Charlotte Kalla took the last swedish spots in the cross country team.
Anything else would be a big surprise … Especially in the Men‘s team is Halfvarsson by far the best Swedish men at the moment. And also Kalla is safely in the top 8 …
Due to the Covid-19 situation the World Cup in Les Rousses (FRA) is cancelled.
COOP FIS Cross-Country World Cup in Les Rousses (FRA) cancelled
Because of growing concerns to hold international events in the current pandemic situation and the virulence of the Omicron variant, the organizing committee of Les Rousses (FRA), the French Ski Federation and the National Authorities took the decision to cancel the FIS Cross-Country World Cup that was scheduled to take place from 14th to 16th January 2021.
Despite all efforts, the changing restrictions and new regulations coming did not guarantee the safety of all stakeholders and therefore the decision was taken in advance.
Honestly, I'm not surprised that Neprayeva is doing it. She was already really strong on the mountain two years ago. Diggins is surprisingly weak, since Oberstdorf she's not doing anything at all.
Diggins is out for the Tour, the gap is too big. 30 seconds to Andersson and 1:42 to Neprayeva.
Petter Northug, meanwhile, is sniffing against the FIS and believes that the FIS is destroying the Tour de Ski with a 3-minute penalty, as they are shooting down a Tour candidate just because someone brings her down in conditions that are not easy. In his opinion a Ranked at Last would have been enough, because she already loses enough time.
Neprayeva
Disappointing no podium for Lampic.
3 minutes for Karlsson, I think she will quit the Tour. But bad for Diggins: Neprayeva, Sorina and Niskanen could take the lead now.
For Karlsson is the Tour over that will be a yellow card
The Sprint tomorrow will be the second key event in the Tour. It‘s classic style and a tuff course. Time you will lose tomorrow will be hard to gain in Val Di Fiemme.
