ExpandNot really IMO, to put it very simply: any team inside the top 10 of ranking is almost certain to qualify for Paris. I don't see Argentina or Brazil dropping below those places by June next year.
A pity, I think that the embarrassment of not qualifying for an Olympic Games would be important for men's volleyball in Brazil. Damn FIVB.
Argentina beats Brazil
3-0 and wins the men's south American championship.
Argentina's second title, but Brazil had not participated in the first. @LDOG
An important result, because if these two teams do not qualify in the Olympic qualifiers, they will be competing for a quota in World rankings.
About Brazil, I would like to never see the coach and some players in the team again, but I don't think my wish will come true.

MBs are non-existent in this game.
It really is strange how Bulgaria has talented young players, but it seems to be at a worse level every time.
ExpandKaczmarek com a partida de sua vida, levando
a uma vitória por 3-1 (25-23, 24-26, 25-18, 25-18)
na disputa pela medalha de ouro.
Primeiro ouro para a Polônia em uma VNL!
Poland playing without their top three players (Leon, Kurek and Bieniek) and still managed to win. It's very difficult to beat a team with such a good squad, even more so with fans like that.
I think I overestimated Italy too much.
Japan
Defeat was expected, so whatever. But I don't see Poland beating Italy if they play like today.
Edited by hoversaBRI'll be surprised if it's not a final between Italy and Poland here.
France needs a better opposite than Boyer.
ExpandWhy don't you like Turkey? Is there something I'm missing?
The only volleyball team I don't like is France in the men's.
Turkey's problem is more the rivalry and the insufferable fans who will give us hell for this title. And as I said earlier, I'm not a big fan of Turkey's psychologically aggressive game either.
Well, in the end, the best team won. Congratulations to Turkey!!
I'm not a big fan but it's amazing what Santareli has done with this team in such a short time, he is easily the best coach in the world.
Go China
I know we're used to teams like Cuba in this sport, but the way Turkey and Santareli behaves... Well, for anyone who likes a show it should be interesting.
Ze Roberto was disappointing as a coach in this game against China.
Expandwhat do you think of Brazil team?
On paper an excellent team, but that has shown some clear deficiencies that were not expected. First, our block is not being as effective as last year, despite having two excellent MBs (perhaps the best pair of teams in this final round). We still don't have a regular opposite, and our most regular opposite is good at blocking, serving, defending, but the attack is very weak and we can already see that Gabi cannot lead a team in attack, no matter how spectacular she is and the other OH is whatever. Well, and lastly, our service is awful, with the exceptions of Kisy and maybe Thaisa.
Ze Roberto is a genius in this sport, and I have no doubt that he could find all the answers to these problems in the game against China. I also don't think the Chinese are clear favorites like the vinipereira thinks, but the team needs to improve.
Edited by hoversaBRI'm really impressed with the quality of this tournament overall, lots of fantastic games.
Well, I'm not surprised, we always lose to the USA anyway (from what I saw we won one of the last 10 games against them).
The team has potential, but perhaps the lack of a player like Ana Cristina or Gabi has shown some very clear deficiencies that were not shown in Japan. The team has a lot to improve if they want to win this VNL which is the main competition of the season (For the Olympics Qualifs we will qualify anyway, so whatever ).
Vital Heynen is just boring. This man can destroy any sporting environment.
Serbia 0-4 in the first week . Okay, they are without Boskovic, but the team is more talented than that (Last year's tournament showed that). Not a good start for Guidetti.
I remember that after Rio 2016, many people were concerned about the future of our national team, because it took us a long time to give new players the opportunity and the players we had, unfortunately, did not compare to our golden generation. I'm happy that today we can see new and talented players in Brazil, I can finally see a good future. And of course, all thanks to our coach who is spectacular.
Our national volleyball federation and its president have been suspended for 6 months after allowing volleyball player Wallace, who was suspended for offensive "jokes" against the president of Brazil, to play in the final of the Superliga, our national championship.
Among the consequences are the possible cut of sponsorship by Banco do Brasil, which could prevent Brazil from participating in competitions in 2023.
Well, let's see how the USA and Italy will perform in this tournament. If they do the same as the last world championship, I see Poland easily beating them, especially playing at home.
ExpandDoes anybody know whether the cities in the countries have been chosen? I am only hoping for more competitions to be held in China and go to watch. There haven't been many for a long time.....
I don't know about the others, but Brazil will be in Rio de Janeiro.

I don't know what Mazzanti is trying to prove, but Egonu on the bench should be a crime. Everything Italy has won in recent years in women's volleyball has been thanks to her.
