March team ranking is published.
as expected following NOC take quotas
Men: Slovenia, Croatia and India
Women: Thailand, Poland, India and Sweden.
ExpandDo you guys know if after beating
England, Romania has any chance of qualifying via the world rankings? Of course, we can't stand a chance against China, but I am quite confused about how world rankings work and how many points we'll get in the world rankings after these World Championships.
If India and Hong Kong win, no chance via the ranking
ExpandDoes this mean that Germany is already mathematically qualified, since they will get, at worst, the first quote place through the World Ranking?
Germany is safe, still I hope you beat Iran😉,
England Men out and in danger to miss Paris. Actually very likely they will miss out a quota.
ExpandJust a question on team rankings. Why do teams who qualified for 2020 Olympics have ranking points from 4 tournaments while rest have points from just 3 tournaments. This skews the rankings towards those teams qualified in 2020
There are 4 different categories which count towards ranking:
Best single ranking
Olympics
World Championship
Continental Championship or Games
if you did not participate in some events then you don’t get points. Some nations have only two results as they didn’t participate in the World Championship. Some nations have only the singles ranking.
Seems logical to me.
How does the draw work for team events. Will they just follow the ranking (which one) 1-16, 2-15 etc?
ExpandDraw is couple of hours away.
I think it anyway follows the seeding list?
Only 34 male teams and 30 female teams will participate
ExpandYou should have listened to our podcast "Today in Minsk" from Day 1
The singles quota which will be won by the later qualified team member will be redistributed at the other European Qualification Tournament, which will be held in April 2020 in Moscow.
Means if you are 4th here, bad luck, try again
In Singles the first 3 get a Olympic quota?
What happens if one of those 3 ( or maybe all) later qualify with the team, how is the reallocation done?
according to this document solja and han are qualified, but i guess the final word is with german federation

and i giess we have tomorrow 3 quotas available
Is my assumption correct:
Actually all Teams (12) as it looks will have 2 players already qualified for singles.
To fill up teams there will be 12 athletes additonally needed, but there are 22 quota available.
It means actually there will be 32 athletes qualifying via Ranking.
Is that correct or do i misunderstand something completly
