They haven't officially qualified for the 25m though, they're given the option to enter through qualifying for the 10m. Also the quota is for the NOC not the athlete, so as neither NOC or athletes have qualified for the 25m via the requisite qualifying routes then they are able to gain a quota here.

Expand

That is true. But also the rules say that one athlete cannot earn 2 quotas despite it is in a different discipline. Because Korakari and Jedrzejewski won the quota on 10m Pistol, the same athlete cannot win the quota in another event, especially when these 2 events are related, so when you earn quota in one of them, you can participate in both events at the Games....

Yes, each NOC can only win a maximum of 1 quota per qualifying event. But you'd still get quota through rankings as it stands as both your athletes still in are the next best non qualified from the rankings. Although there is still a world cup event so things may still change.

World cups in Munich and Lonato are also qualifying events? Or you mentioned that because they are also counted into the Olympic qualification ranking? It should close on June 9th so Lonato does not count anymore but Munich does.

Olympic Quota to :FRA France

and this means that there will be 2 spots awarded via World Ranking in the women's Skeet: :KAZ Assem Orynbay and :CZE Barbora Sumova (if my calculation isn't wrong...and it might well be )

Expand

Yeeees!!!! Honestly, it surprises me as Sumova has been fighting for the spot for so long. But if the HQ was just earned by Anastassiou, are you sure that there will be 2 quotas from the ranking? Of course, I hope so :-D ....

I hope for Czech and France too, more chance for Polish from ranking. But furing EC Ukraine and Italy should grab quota too.

Yeah thank you. Now we have to rely more individual quotas. We did not qualify any team, there is still chance for a woman's rugby team but it will be hard. Now let's hope we have more individual quotas and 2 or 3 relay teams in athletics. Would be pity to have the smallest team in history for the Paris games. Chief or our mission said he counting the number somewhere between 80-120. Big range 馃榾馃榾

Yes, tomorrow we keep our fingers crossed for Fra and Cze. However, we still have 0 qualifications in women sector, which makes it impossible to show even 1 mixed doubles :(

Thanks, also hoping for Rampula do qualify. Anyways was thinking how about the US team as they have already selected Sanderson for the Olympic team despite Henry Leverett earned the quota. Let's see how the final goes.

Really a bad joke that already qualified shooters take part in this qualification tournament. :image:

I was also surprised. But if ISSF approved it, I guess some of them take it as a "training" for the Olympic tournament and I guess some federations might have it as an internal qualification tournament in order to decide who will take the Olympic quota.

Neither Llewellin neither Achilleos can overtake Rossetti: :ITA certainly will gain 2nd olympic quota in men's skeet.

Isn't this only for the countries that don't have a quota yet? Before Tokyo, :CZE Tomas Nydrle was No.1 ranking but he did not get the quota because Jakub Tomecek got the quota for Czech in one of the World Cup competitions. So the quota went to :ARG that did not have any athlete in skeet and they were highest ranked unqualified country in skeet.

    • Would rather best ball be on day 1 and alternate shots be on day 2, but overall I think this is a good format.
    • 1980. Allan Wells. It wasn鈥檛 on television because of the Olympic boycott so I found out about it from the newspapers.
    • Also GB didn鈥檛 reach its target in the 4x100 women relay or the medley so those places might be rejected.
    • It was the last event of the meet anyway, so they were never likely to do a swim off. If they wanted to decide in advance based on a race, more likely on a meet like Mare Nostrum.   Both are pre-selected anyway because of the relay, so they both will be there anyway. Whichever gets the nod, we probably won't know until the week of.   With GB's history of messing about, especially in the first year of a new Olympic cycle, who knows what we'll do. Knowing us, stick Tom Dean in there, make Duncan do the 200 fly and Jimmy the 400 free.
    • Will they do a swim-off?   The other option is they select both of them and then the head coach decides who swims at the meet.
    • Very glad they went with foursome/four-ball rather than just adding up individual scores.
    • I'll give it a shot.   On the mens side the freestyle results were pretty standard with the usual suspects of Ben Proud, Matt Richards and Duncan Scott swimming well. I don't think any of these guys were fully tapered and Proud didn't even shave for his 50m free win (21.67). 17 year old Jacob Mills came second in both the 50 and 100m free, so is on the team for Singapore. Tom Dean has only just got back into training but qualified in the 4x100 after being preselected in the 4x200 free.  James Guy looked impressive with a PB in the 200m free at 1:45.08. He also won the 400m free in a race where he went out way too fast and died at the end (3:46.64). The longer distances weren't notable.   Ollie Morgan was certainly stand out swimmer on the mens side sweeping the backstrokes for a 3rd straight year. He broke the national record in the 100m with a 52.12 with a pretty poor finish. He also impressed in the 200m with a 1:55.55   Without Peaty, the mens breaststroke was pretty poor, with Greg Butler only qualifying for the relay. 17 year olds Max Morgan and Filip Nowacki took home a few medals between them.   The Men's fly was also pretty pedestrian by international standards. Proud won the 50m in 23.21 with a long glide, whilst Ed Mildred took the relay spot in 51.80. 17 y.o Jack Brown was only 0.07 back Duncan Scott won the 200m (1:54.89) but he wont swim it in Singapore.   Scott took the mens 200m IM in 1:56.44, whilst, Max Litchfield won the 400m in 4:11.59     On the women's side the quality wasn't as good but there were a few standout performances.   Freya Colbert got close to the British record in the 200m free in 1:55.76, and Eva Okaro impressed with a 24.48 50m free.    The backstrokes were disappointing with nobody breaking a minute in the 100 (1:00.03), but Katie Shanahan looked good in the 200 at (2:07.91)   Angharad Evans was rapid in the breaststrokes breaking the national record in the 100 (1:05.37), and a huge PB in the 200 (2:21.86)   Fly was poor with nobody breaking 58 in the 100 (58.03), but Macinnes broke the Scottish record in the 200 (2:07.14)   Abbie Wood swept the Medleys with a 2:08.85 200 and a 4:36.66 400     Overall the results were alright with a few strong standout performances. As is the case in a post olympic year, the big guns took it fairly easy whilst some juniors looked really promising.    More results here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_Aquatics_GB_Swimming_Championships
