Just woke up to the alarm—let's hope for the best

I don't think teachers can here either. They are restricted to school holidays only.   But in other jobs is not that I can ask for two weeks off. I have to take my 24 work days (mon to friday) off and it's mandatory.

Ancelotti has announced his squad for the upcoming friendlies, and the hot topic here in Brazil is Neymar's absence. He's clearly not in good physical condition and he's not exactly young anymore, but could his talent compensate for the risk? Well, I think many people think so (and maybe I do too). 

Just be a teacher like I am and it's no worries.    Also, as an American, it's bonkers that Europeans can ask for two weeks off. That concept just doesn't exist here...most jobs here have like two weeks off total. (I like the European model for sure! I think we could use a little more down time here...but that means an entire culture shift.)   Mine is different obviously, which is nice for the summer/Christmas...but for us in the school year, we can't ask for two consecutive days off without a serious conversation with the headmaster. We only have 7 paid days off during the school year (meaning, days when the students are there but we need to be gone for whatever reason).

I get 5.5 weeks off but taking 3 weeks off at one time needs a bit of planning in terms of making sure my workload is covered. It’s possible as I took 3 weeks off last year but having 2 weeks off is always more manageable. Plus it leaves a nice bit of time to take other holidays throughout the year too
