  1. @Prashanth, Yes, but the players of Mohan Bagan could not be released to play ISLright, since they would need to play the quarterfinals, semi-finals etc if they would have won, the same would now happen with the players from Bengaluru, rbmr in the 1st year of ISL, Sunil Chettri was not released to play ISL.
  2. Congrats Bengaluru, well played. Guys do you think Mohunbagan were deliberately looking to loose their match, since the quarterfinals dates clashes with the ISL this year? If so, isn't it unethical?
  3. Thanks Juddy, was looking forward to this information. You are a star.
  4. What is the next athletics event for us? Really waiting to hear some good news on that front.
  5. Yes, 582 is her career best score in qualifiers. Nice to see the improvement. All the best.
  6. Not sure what went wrong, seems Neeraj Chopra did not participate in Halle Event yesterday, neither is his name featuring in the participant list of today. Source - http://www.hallesche-werfertage.de/
  7. Guys, Saurabh Sangvekar has got the OST timing in the Heats of 400m Free Style, he has also qualified for the finals. He got a timing of 3:57.69, Sajan Prakash has the National record of 3:57.44, let's hope he breaks it in the finals. Though I'm not sure why there are 10 participant's in the finals, has he qualified as a stand by? If any one can confirm that, would be great.
  8. Hello Juddy, expecting one of them to make the cut for Rio today.
  9. Elated with the Indian girls yesterday, today if Saina beats Li, we can put pressure on China, coz Sindhu has a good chance against Wang Yihan with her power game. Gadde was most impressive yesterday, she has good deception in her game, with the way she holds her shot until the last moment, also the best back-hand among our girls, her court movement needs to improve though that's where she will get caught with the top players currently, she is 18, expect her calf muscles to get stronger in a year or 2 which should then propel her into the top 20, so basically no chance today in Gadde V Wang Shixian, we can maybe pray for an unlikely upset in the last doubles, if it goes that far.
  10. Intanon is currently the best player in the world. She like Virat Kohli, is having the best period of her career, so will be difficult for Saina to pull it off, unless we win that match it will be difficult for us to beat Thailand.
  11. Tomorrow it will be difficult to improve on it though, there will be no competition for us in this event at Taiwan.
  12. Dutee has now been added to the Start list of 100m today.
  13. That's a bold team in such a big tournament, no Sardar, Rupinder. Let's hope for the best.
  14. This is excellent. So now, he also has an outside chance to make it to Rio. Hopefully he gets to participate in a Diamond League or similar IAAF event.
  15. Guys, really with the form Vijender is showing, he will be a real deal if he can go to Rio. Do let us know if you get any information on whether there is any possibility for him. I think this should be a bigger question than Narsingh/Sushil
  16. I watched her in the Fed Cup achieve the new NR with ease in the sapping, polluted weather in Delhi, she was not stretched at all and immediately after the event ran to the scorers, to check her timings, so maybe going below 9:20 tomorrow with stiff competition is a possibility.
  17. Thanks for those points, they are enlightening, so her target tomorrow should be to go below 9:20
  18. Yes, great news, the rankings will change post the Diamond League events. At Rio, to have a realistic chance of a medal she has to go below 9 mins 10 secs.
  19. There will be 2 pairs for sure, Sania will also participate in Women's Doubles. The only concern is whether we can have the 3rd doubles pair which would be men's doubles.
  20. I differ in opinion here, Narsingh is constantly doing well, the only option would have been if Sushil agreed to go for the qualifiers in 85kg category, but he didn't.
  21. Dutee to participate in 3 events at China, Taipei and Kazak, starting this month, to gain the Rio timing.
  22. Is a climbing a sport, that too in Olympics? That's news for me. It's high time they get cricket it, far more popular than all these sports.
  23. What about boxing, one of the qualification tournaments was supposed to start this week, right?
  24. Maybe they are trying to see if Rimil can be replaced by someone talented or at least have a 2nd choice.
  25. In Tennis, any chance of a singles player sneeking in too, or somehow can we have 2 men's doubles teams?
